Sandy Park only holds around 10,000 though, so I presume they have imminent expansion plans. Good move to move it closer to Cornwall though, as they love their rugby down there.

The minimum capacity requirement is 12,000, but Exeter have plans to expand Sandy Park to 20,000 over the next few years. I would suspect that they will be halfway through their transformation by the World Cup.

Exactly,.... rugby 'cities' in the UK are Cardiff, Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, ... the rest play a part, but Union is part of the fabric of those four places.

So another twist this morning. Manchester United have pulled Old Trafford from being a venue. It looks like Manchester City will step in and allow the Emirates to be used. What this does mean is that there will be more pressure on the other venues to pull big crowds.

According to the Guardian the list of venues and fixtures are to be announced tomorrow.
