American Dad Vs Family Guy

For all of you that like these types of comedies, what do you think is funnier?

Thinking of getting a few seasons of one of the two, what would you recommend?

Family Guy but thats not saying anything bad about American Dad which is also good. Can watch Family Guy episodes time and time again, never gets boring.

Family Guy Seasons 1-3 are funny. Anything after that, and pretty much all of American Dad, is shite. Frankly there's much better stuff out there though!

Haha well I have seen quite a lot of season 1 and 2 of family guy and loved it however was told by a few people that they much preferred American Dad.

Think I'm gonna snap up the third series

Family Guy although I also like American Dad.

FG is one of THE funniest comedies of this type of all time.

AD is mediocre (a bit off-the-wall in a FG type of way but just doesn't hit the spot).

I think I must be one of the only people in the world who really doesn't think Family Guy is very good.

I used to watch it but found after a while I just didn't get anywhere near enough of the references to enjoy it properly. It's jam packed with American pop culture references and I just don't know who all the people they're taking the piss out of are.

It certainly doesn't have the depth and longevity of The Simpsons
