I believe you actually finished 3rd in 1991 behind Liverpool who qualified for the UEFA Cup the following season as league runners up. 1991 was the same season Manchester Utd won The European Cup Winners Cup having won the FA Cup Final in 1990. Do you remember now? You weren't banned, you weren't quite good enough to qualify.
