Pilchard on the bench, hope he's got himself a nice comfy cushion.

Eh???

So as our player he missed their game this weekend and if they had bought him before this weekend he would have missed their game this weekend.

Basically, he had to serve a one game suspension. He's now served that. So if he signs for them this week, then he can play in the opening Prem game. If he'd gone before this weekend, he'd have had to miss that first Prem game as he'd still have had a one game suspension to serve,

Depends which two. You seem incapable of finding anyone who actually WANTS Holla. Elvis is dead anyway.

I was thinking more about Stephens, Burnley could well be waiting until his suspension is served.

Why is a Palace fan concerned about our players?

If the deal had been done and he was going to sign, wouldn't it be more favourable to have the player in pre-season training for longer at the expense of him missing the first game?

Arguably yes. And personally, I'd agree with you. But I was just explaining the theory.

Because otherwise he'd have to serve that suspension with them, rather than serving it this weekend with us.

So Burnley need to get him in the next 48 hours to stop him being cup tied.

Cups exploits are unlikely to feature for Burnley. With their current squad they could be back down to the Championship not long after Xmas
