Was in town for my booster jab today and went in HMV

Bought two LPs …Dark side of the moon…replacement for my original cracked to death one and the new Coldplay album. Music of the spheres

Was bought my last Coldplay album which I know people don’t like them , it is quite brilliant! Everyday…lots of Arabic type music. Really great album

A really rather beautiful platter spinning here today, an offering which examines mental health from different angles, on tracks by turns mordant, biting, distressing and deeply sad.

Lush strings and piano, an unexpected gem.

Have you listened to... Clarke - Playground On A Lake.

Possibly right up your street? I found that a very hard listen.

I'll check out your latest two recommendations at some point.

I have tried Playground on a Lake but it is indeed a little too tough for me. The above 2 are pretty simple with a gentle vocal. Whilst the content is pretty heavy, the presentation is rather engaging in contrast.

Johnathan Blake - Homeward Bound.

It's his Blue Note debut.

Nothing surprising on the new 'outtakes' album from Mr Frahm. Calming, icicles of beautiful pianoness.

Love the review; "less of a leftovers album, and more of a personally curated buffet".

Amazing. Relaxing. Reflective.

Resident have Dry Cleaning as the best album of the year. Not convinced myself, think they're a bit of a flash in the pan. Found them dull live. The first few tracks on the album are cracking, but it goes downhill rapidly thereafter.

Most of the rest of their top ten looks good and I own half of it despite not really buying much this year.
