A small dose of reality for those who regard a draw away against Tranmere as abject failure. 2010 in brackets.

Played 10 (10)
Won 2 (6)
Drawn 3 (3)
Lost 5 (1)
For 10 (14)
Against 18 (7)
Points 9 (21)
Position 21st (1st)

I had just been looking up last season's stats and it took us until Boxing Day to get 21 points.

Our defence was a tad leaky back then

Last season's results would see us 23rd in today's table - silly comparison I know but an indication of just how far we have come.

Biggest game of the season so far next Saturday will tell us a great deal about what the season may hold for us.

The only teeny potential mosquito in our ointment is that the teams at the top last season had all scored nigh on 20 goals. We haven't scored many more than last year although obviously the defence has been superb. I just wonder if we are potentially a few goals shy of being a promotion side come the end of the year (cue compaints about Barnes' "misses").

Stagering statistic and almost hard to belive.

Anyway we are still top and we won't go a seaon without losing and drawing games, regardless of league position I don't take any game as a given.
