[Albion] AEK Athens - ticketing process, tiers and all that jazz

It will be eligibility, which could be:
- pre-registration. A lot of people thought they'd registered for both Ajax and Athens, but only registered for Ajax. Are you absolutely sure you did pre-register?
- not enough points. This game sold out at Tier 2 (from what I recall). If you didn't have enough points to be in Tier 2 then you'll not be eligible to buy.
More tickets will become available. It would be worth your sister trying to buy one and allocate it to you. That will reveal whether you're eligible or not.

As someone stated earlier I can’t see many undesirable AEK hoolies forking out €120 for block 8. It also feels like there’s a fair few Brighton in the area.
Probably still best to get to the ground earlier as we won’t need the escort but rocking up outside the stadia after a few beers might attract a bit of attention. Same with leaving, especially if we win/ensure they can’t qualify.
Thanks. Similar thoughts to mine. I think the departure may be tricky if things go to plan but also I would imagine most Athens fans will disappear quite quickly if they lose.

Not sure if it’s the right thread but Olympiacos are playing Gabala in the UEFA Youth League on the Wednesday, it’s in Olympiacos’ main stadium, if anyone wanted a look around. It’s free to attend you just need to drop them an email and they’ll get you on the guest list.

Have we been told where we pick up tickets from? Also do we have to go on the provided buses to and from the ground or can we make our own way? I have it in my head it's all from the Panathenaic Stadium in Central Athens, although I can't seem to find this written anywhere so may well have dreamt it

*UPDATED* important information for travelling to AEK Athens
We head to the Greek capital on 30 November.

Overview:
- Ticket collection will be situated a short walk from the Melina Mercouri Monument, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.
- 15 minutes walk from the monument is where we are advised the meeting point for the shuttle buses will be.
- We now have confirmation from AEK Athens the shuttle buses will take supporters to the stadium from outside Panathenaic Stadium (this is NOT the home of Panathinaikos, but the location of the first Olympic Games, also known as Kallimarmaro).
- Supporters should be at the shuttle bus meeting point between 3.30pm-4pm to allow for searching and ticket checks before boarding.
- Expect a hold back of at least 45 minutes post-match in the visitor supporter seating.
- Street crime, including pickpocketing can take place in Athens. Be vigilant, take sensible precautions and have valid travel insurance. For safety advice please click here.
