Advice wanted: How to get Champions league tickets without getting ripped off?

I will be in Amsterdam in a couple of weeks time and see that Ajax will be at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League, so fancy going along.

Have looked online and so far the cost of tickets is ridiculous varying from 175to 350 euros. These are through agencies who appear to add a substantial mark up. I wonder if NSCer can recommend a more economical way to obtain tickets or even as a travel package?

Your advice would be appreciated.

Ajax have some left, but only top priced at 165EUR per ticket. Think you'd be best off trying the ticket office out there on the day / near the day to see if they have any, or touts outside.

Viagogo is fairly reputable resell site and has tickets from $100, so might be worth looking at

dont you have to be a member of the club in the Netherlands to be able to get tickets?

Go the ground. Wait until 5 mins before the start of the game and then approach a tout and haggle from there. You have to be prepared to walk away though.
