Falmer, soon...
I'm not religious and for as many years as I can remember have avoided church. However, when someone contributes as much as Bill did to a community, regardless of religion or not, it is difficult to have anything other than admiration.

...and I always liked him because he was ex-albion.

Hope you're right Bill :) RIP

I didn't know him well but attended many services at Buxted when he was helping out there. He always seemed to be around Uckfield, and you almost felt he would go on forever. RIP Bill.

A proper Sussex man. Got The bonfire societies into church each year for a Christmas carol service and insisted that Sussex by the Sea was sung by all present! Very much an Albion man.

A man of religion whose kindness and friendliness will be remembered by all who met him! (Including the Queen).

RIP Canon Bill
