My best friend, who was cruelly taken at the age of 29, by being stabbed to death while trying to help someone, 30 years ago.
I still miss him, and the gigs we went to and could have gone to.

I freely admit to being both shocked and saddened when i read this , the world we live in can be a shit place sometimes . Your post speaks volumes about your friendship and is a real tribute to your friend .

No poll, you'll have to use your brain power.
What celebrity or normal person, dead or alive, would you have a pint with.

For me, my grandad (passed away when I was 12)
Celebrity, Bobby Robson, comes across as a lovely bloke :)

Ahh, that’s lovely. Yes, any close family inc my pets. Miss them all dearly.

But from the celebrity or famous world, one of the great explorers to hear their tales…especially the ones that didn’t return!

Definitely my mum, who died six weeks ago and my dad, who died 30 years ago.
Also my mate Scunny John who died about 10 years ago. Mind you, it was years of alcohol abuse that hastened his demise, so a pint may not be the best idea.

Top of my living list would be my German friend, Kerstin. I lost touch her with her when she got a new bloke and moved and I met the ex Mrs Gwylan and moved too. In the days before email and mobiles, it was harder to keep in contact with people. I really miss my conversations with her and would love another evening chatting to her.
