Being the perpetrator of the single worst 'tackle' I have seen in my 4 decades watching the Albion, is also worth a point or two.

The best bit was, is that you could see it unfold a full 2 or 3 seconds before he launched himself. That red card was the moment that Chris Hughton's reign was unquestionably up.

The one thing you could offer in knocky's defence, is that that Adam Smith really is an absolute ****.
The worst by an Albion player but not in the same league as the one perpetrated on him by Britos. Above the knee and not even on the pitch. I can't recall seeing one as bad as this.
One minute in for the slo-mo

Not only was Knocky the flairiest in group D, he was the player I loved way more than the others, and not just because of his skill or goals.

He seemed to feed of his love here and there were moments where he was almost single handedly the teams flag bearer.

At home to Wednesday in the play off, he was a man possessed in that explosive first 30 mins, away the next season giving it to their fans at Hillsborough, and especially after his wonder strike at Selhurst, the running past the Whitehorse end with his chest puffed put and tongue sticking out, much to the rabid annoyance of the locals........ It felt like he genuinely loved us and just got it.
