I'm surprised most people have omitted Davies from the starting line-up.
I'm pretty sure he won't have signed to sit on the bench...

Hadn't realised that with the exception of Seb we are suddenly quite a big (as in tall/muscular) side.
I've been so used to being out-muscled over the years I'm quite shocked

Clearly we need to see how certain players pan out but I would go with...

Sullivan
Whing - Elphick - Virgo - McNulty
Carole - Livermore - Jarrett - Cox
Forster - Davies

Subs:
McLeod
Hinsh
Andrew
El Abd
Birchall

Fringe:
Hawkins
Fraser
Kuipers

Injured:
Murray

That just shows the options we now have from the bench or in reserve should we need it... a good solid squad of 20, and as someone else pointed out we have signed bigger players to stop us getting so outmuscled.

good transfer window loads of options the only problem is still no natural left winger/midfielder besides mcleod( if only he could get himself fit) i know carole or cox will play there but it isn't their natural position and are both better on the right. but overall a great transfer window:ascarf::ascarf:

For Saturday, I would stick with same 11 except for Whing and McNulty for Virgs and El Abd (although dropping El Abd is harsh) and Livermore playing midfield. Andrew doesn't deserve to be dropped after Saturday and would be tempted to use Carole as an impact player intially.

However, in the next few months:

GK Sullivan
DR Whing
DC Virgo
DC Elphick
DL McNulty
MR Birchall
MC Jarrett
MC Livermore
ML Carole
FC Murray
FC Davies

Subs:
Kuipers
El Abd
Cox
Forster
McLeod

Harsh on a number of players e.g. Hinsh, El Abd, Forster and Kuipers but it is great to have real strength in depth. Compared to the usual transfer window/deadline days this has been fantastic.

I am bloody excited now - we're not getting to the play-offs, and just imagine where we'd be if we'd got some decent players at the start of the season - but this lot looks the dogs in Div 3.

Suddenly we have cover for injuries and still look strong.
Goalkeepers: Sullivan and Kuipers
Right Back: Whing, Virgo, El Abd
Centre Backs: Elphick, Hinshelwood,Virgo,Hawkins
Left Back: McNulty,Livermore,Whing
Midfield:Birchall,Cox,Carole,Jarrett,Livermore,Mcleod,Fraser
Forwards:Forster,Murray,Davies,Andrew

Would be quite happy any combination to combat opposition. This is as strong a squad that we have had for some time. Hopefully Mickey can keep them all happy.

At last we have a squad to give Adams a proper headache. It's shaping up nicely.
We also have quite a few players around the age of 23/24 which is superb

Now we have a squad.
The measure of Micky now will be how well he gets them playing as a team and delivering performances that achieve results.

Observation on many of the threads above - quite a few of you don't have Virgs in your 16 - was this an oversight? Or do you really believe there is no place for him here now?

Personally I would play Virgs in central defence alongside Elphick. The Hinsh, Elphick partnership lacks a bit of height and Virgs has played well this season when at centre half. I think it is harsh on Hinsh but there are going to be a few players disappointed now we have a big squad.

Having said that, I would probably stick with Elphick, Hinsh at the weekend and then Virgs coming in over the next month.
