Geat photo.

I used to love your pictures and updates.

Who remembers the one with the Arches being transported down the A23?

The excitement of that day :albion2:there must have been a thread ?

I honestly don't think that winning the European cup would give me the same thrill as I got walking up those steps v Donny

Things every Brighton fan should know:

- the lyrics to Sussex By The Sea off by heart
- the appalling chicanery of Archer & Bellotti* (I'd make Build a Bonfire compulsory reading for anyone purchasing a season ticket)
- the tireless of work of those who brought the club 'home' to Withdean
- the campaign to get the new stadium approved and funded so that shovels were finally put in the earth

*never forgive, never forget

I went and stood on the field in 2008 before any work started. I moved to London a month later and didn’t return to Falmer until the opening game against Eastbourne Borough three years later. It was such and amazing feeling walking over and seeing it there.

Got a vague memory of Andy Townsend kicking a ball on that field, claiming he'd scored the first goal at the Amex
We had a photo taken with him,but it never worked, couldn't be arsed to ask him again
That was at the Withdean, can't remember which game either
Very vague 😆
Getting old

West is BEST
I went down a few times while it was being built and took a few photos on a digital camera I have long since lost.
On one morning a builder let me in to look from one of the site entrances, which I would guess is where the West Stand is now or thereabouts .
Only a look mind, not allowed to roam.
It was a while before I went to a game there as I moved away shortly after.

Took my sons u9 football team from Saltdean Utd down there one day on an arranged tour to see how things were going...IIRC we would've been stood just about at the back of the away stand? Remember feeling so excited about it all, but also had a sense of disbelief that it was actually happening. Some of those lads are still ST holders. Happy days.
