I just love predictions when not a ball in anger has been kicked yet in the league

It's not based on today's game. It's based on the end of last season rolled into last nights game.

Is explained further up the thread if you can be bothered reading it.

The negativity from some of you lot is (hilarious) astounding! You've signed some players that could be good for this division, and are CERTAINLY of a much better calibre than Brighton have been able to sign for a very long time. I think you're massively overreacting to a poor performance against a tidy Swindon side, when you should all be singing and dancing. You take this minor hit and move on into next season.

I don't think you'll finish as highly as you did last season, but I certainly don't see too much of a struggle.

Win away at Hull on Saturday and you'll all be back to your cocky, too-big-for-your-boots selves! :)

It's not even the official start of the normal league season yet and everyone is doom & gloom for some reason?

A few positive results and positiveity should be restore again hopefully.

Bruno and Bridge were the only positives tonight. Bruno in particular looks a class above. But our full backs seems to be our biggest threats!!! Says it all really.

As for CMS, again I hope not, but from what I hear he wants out. Shame, but if it is true you can hardly blame him. If you are a certain style of forward, and the manger will not play to your style, then you end up looking a bit of a ****, and CMS is looking a bit of a **** up front for us at times, and CMS is far for a ****!!!
Rather harsh on vicente as he seemed to have 3 players around him all the time.

Even if so then so what? 10th in the second division (sorry Championship as we have to call it these days), playing to about 25,000 and larger crowds than most, well that is what Brighton has often been about.

It took 20 years to get back to this and may take many, many years before the Albion takes its next step in fulfilling its very large potential. I know El P does not agree (which is fair enough) but with Brighton's support it should, in my view, be a top flight top half club no problem and one day, I'm confident it will be.

Funny thing is tho' I will always think it was more fun to have an away day at Chesterfield over Old Trafford any day. As they say, be careful what you wish for as it might just come true. When at Chesterfield away I had that feeling of wishing we were higher up the league, but now? Nah, give me Orient, Chesterfield, Palace, Pompey over Arsenal, Man U and Villa any day.

As for Poyet, as long as the players keep passing the ball, then we will do better than our budget as most sides are run in England by old fashioned English hoofing coaches.

Gus seems unable to change our way of play when things are not going right, also he appears to beleive that the number of passes made in our own half will provide goals, there is no point in buying another striker if he receives a lack of decent through balls

Absolute total and complete dross tonight.

Awful defending. Zero end product.

Totally out played and outclassed by a very slick looking Swindon team.

All my hope for the season has faded away.

You think 10th would be a 'poor' season then? Jeez people need to wake up a little. 10th would be OK to good IMO.

This thread could be BRILLIANT to bounce this season!

I think on tonights showing we should be looking to stay up, nothing more. Barnes is utter shit. Add Dicker and Harley to that too.

Gus has NO idea what to do when we go 0-1 down.

That is Barnes bashing for the absolute sake of it!!!! Take your point on Harley and Dicker but come on Barnes does a lot more than a few others when we need him.

Thanks Seaside, never thought we'd have an 'arse fan on here telling us to keep our chins up!! All judgement on the forthcoming season should be suspended until we've played at least 10 games so lets get a bit tranquilo, make the Amex a wall of sound and see what happens

Most of us are expecting a mid table finish anyway,we don't have the strengh in depth like many clubs and we have a fair few injury prone players so we have to be realistic.

I know 00snook very well and I can say he is BHAFC 100%. He lives and breaths BHAFC so whilst we may disagree on views don't ever question his loyalty and passion for the club.
