I also used to go to the odd lecture at Kings College London although I was never enrolled there...

You probably wouldn't get away with that now. I pushed it once and went to a seminar.

What subject are you doing at Birkbeck?

Well, almost finished Masters in Computer Science.

I've technically got a Post Graduate Diploma having passed all the exams. Have to now submit a project to get my Masters, but no more lectures / exams etc...

Been doing it after work for the last two years.

Before I get asked about Windows / Linux - it's really not that type of degree. Loads of maths and theory.

I didn't do it to enhance my "career" whatever that is, I simply fancied it and rather than sitting at home watching TV for a few hours I've been sitting in a lecture hall 6-9, 4 nights a week.

Recommend it to anyone. There were a number of people on my course who didn't have a first degree to their name.

It's also surprisingly cheap compared to "commercial" courses you can do.
