1. Treat people how you would like to be treated yourself with respect, manners, dignity etc etc
2. Cherish your loved ones, tell them you love them every now and again, they might not be there the next day for any reason and that will scar you for the rest of your life.
3. Do not stress over trivial crap or what people may say bad about you, those sort of people are nothing and nobodies and need to be ignored.

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

What are others views on money? I have always been on the view that money id there to be spent, I do not save anything, I just earn money and then spend it all on travel.

Reckless or wise?

Get as deeply in nature as you can as often as you can. Go camping at least once a year. Don't own more that you can carry. Don't drive - you will be a healthier, more patient person as a result. Make your own rules in life, don't follow others (I'm only 43 and I'm posting in this thread - pretty wild huh)

1/ I'd like to think I've lived by the words of one of Rod Stewart's songs - the killing of Georgie.

Never wait or hesitate
Get in kid before it's too late
You may never get a second chance
Youth's a mask and it don't last
So live it long and live it fast

Apply that thought to most of what you do, partner options, job options, whatever ...

2/ Regrets - seldom will you ever regret what you did, regrets are for those things you never did ....

3/ Never promise anything unless you are 101% in control of the outcome. "We'll see" has served me well over my 55 years ....

Oh well there's another song I have been singing the wrong words to .....................

Whatever needs doing, do it. Hoping things sort themselves out is rarely successful and normally turns out for the worse.

Do not complicate your life, if you're married, act married.

Never underestimate your personal worth and ability, if you feel you're worth more prove it rather than bleat about it, if you feel you should or could have a better job go out and do it.
