Dawn Butler's remit includes standing up for and doing her best to protect Britain's Jewish Community. She's also the Vice Chair of Labour Friends of Palestine.

What could go wrong there?

This is a genuine question.

Do the Corbynistas really think this shadow cabinet is electable? Or is idealism all they want?

It's madness isn't it? The whole point of the Shadow portfolios is to present an alternative Government to the electorate during the lifetime of the Parliament, in readiness for the next election.

I've never seen a Shadow cabinet so lacking in talent, gravitas, intellectual ability, political nous and electoral appeal.

Even the most ardent Corbanists haven't bothered to defend Abbott. Probably because it's indefensible.

No its the Labour Party that is the joke. The very idea that she will ever become Home Secretary, or JC PM for that matter is laughable, will never ever happen

Who knows. Who would have guessed a few months ago the government would be wanting to track all foreigners for stealing british jobs

Can't see that happening. Rudd desperately trying to climb aboard the Brexit agenda after pinning her sails to the remain mast. Poorly thought out policy on the hoof. Sure it will be quietly dropped.

Never mind the Rotherham rapists , what about the racist ***** cliffs of Dover .

Shadow secretary of state for international development Diane Abbott is among those who travelled to Dover to join the anti-fascist protest and she addressed the crowd.

She told the cheering audience: 'It's 2016, Time for those racist rocks to go. Mr Cameron, tear down those cliffs.'

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is facing a row over his new shadow cabinet, after the chairman of the Parliamentary Labour Party said he was not informed about the reshuffle.

John Cryer said in a letter to MPs that the party leadership had not told him or sacked chief whip Rosie Winterton about the changes.

I don't get the joke, but that's all it was.

this happened in the last reshuffle, there's a general theme that Corbyn and the team around him act in isolation with poor communication (didnt he appoint first shadow defense secretary without asking their view on Trident?). this matter, rather than conflicting views, was largely the reasons for the resignations over the summer, seems he hasnt learnt anything or has no intention on running government in waiting.

Hard to tell sometimes if she is joking , or just displaying ignorance

The disconnect that the hard-left have with atrocities committed in the name of their beloved socialism never fails to astound me. How are Mao or Stalin any better than Hitler or General Franco? How can it be socially acceptable to go around with Trotsky and Lenin on your t-shirt given what they did?

Garry Kasparov's very recent comments about the actor Jamie Foxx eulogising the brutal Venezuelan regime is a must-read on this subject.

Yes, yet another example of their hypocrisy. I recall over the years there were always demos organised by the usual rag-tag army against Franco, The Greek Colonels, Apartheid, the USA, and probably a few South American despots to boot. But never against Russia and its satellite states in Eastern Europe, where the abuses were well known, but that didn't fit the pattern, did it?
