Yes, you are right in that there was a vote and JC won fair and square -no problem, if you don't look at the bigger picture. The problem for the Labour party, as it was in the 80s, is that those who voted for JC are not necessarily representative of the traditional Labour support. The activists tend to be left wing and as they are those who attend all meetings etc, and shout the loudest, they tend to dominate various committees/local organisations etc, and thus convince themselves that they are the majority voice. More moderate Labour MPs are fully aware of this and know that the electorate at large has hitherto shown little appetite for the type of socialism advocated by the current crop in apparent charge, hence their reluctance to embrace the Corbynistas.
Trades Union and Socialist Coalition (TUSC twxts) are no doubt all re-enrolled back in the Labour Party right now, displaying their vitriol and bile of anyone with ambition to better themselves rather than sit on their arse.
In Hove the Labour party have a new MP, Peter Kyle, who appears to be a genuine contender for leader in the not too distant future. I am sure he is sitting and biding his time until this lot screw up and present an opportunity to the sensible side of the party to get back to the politics of the masses. Peter Kyle for PM in 2025 anyone?

The Mail & Telegraph were reporting that Corbyn is to be stripped of his Right Honourable title because he hasn't attended a Privy Council meeting yet, or won't bow his knee to the Queen.
There's another thread on it, which was debated yesterday.
Corbyn hasn't said that he won't kneel before the Queen, and the reason he hasn't attended a Privy Council meeting yet, is because he was on holiday. I Googled it yesterday and the only references to the Queen and her officers were in the Mail & Telegraph, whereas the only other reference was Nsc and a news source which stated the above ie. he hasn't had the title yet, let alone be stripped of it.

yep, and there i refuted the claim that matter is only being reported by two newspapers. there's evidence of the parliament website before and after "Rt Hon" being removed. he hasn't taken or arranged is oath to the Privy Council, so isnt currently eligible for the title. its widely reported his spokemans saying he had an prior appointment, and then that he was on holibobs in Scotland. so its pretty clear that it has really happened. the only question open is whether he will take the oath in presence of Queen or in absence.
As has been pointed out on here several times, TUSC supporters (in effect Socialist Party members) have not been encouraged to join the Labour Party or vote for Corbyn. There were probably more Tory party members than Socialist Party supporters who voted for JC

John McDonnell Shadow Chancellor September 26th - Labour will back a charter requiring the government to deliver an overall surplus by 2019-20.
"We accept we are going to have to live within our means and we always will do - full stop." He continued: "We will support the charter. We will support the charter on the basis we are going to want to balance the book, we do want to live within our means and we will tackle the deficit."

October 13th - Mr McDonnell said he had changed his mind on parliamentary tactics but denied changing his economic policy. He said they had seen the bill as a "gimmick" so had intended to "ridicule it" by voting for it.

Indeed. Labour are on the brink of political oblivion if this goes on much longer.
I think the saner elements of the PLP have to try and persuade Corybn to stand down asap for the good of the party and more importantly the country.
