The Top Ten is as follows:
1. The Stone Roses 'The Stone Roses'
2. The Smiths 'The Queen Is Dead'
3. Oasis 'Definitely Maybe'
4. Sex Pistols 'Never Mind The Bollocks'
5. Arctic Monkeys 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'
6. Blur 'Modern Life Is Rubbish'
7. Pulp 'Different Class'
8. The Clash 'London Calling'
9. The Beatles 'Revolver'
10. The Libertines 'Up The Bracket'

Discuss.

Personally I agree with number one but thats about it.

The NME always needs to produce these lists, and very often their band of the moment is foolishly high, 5th best of all time, i think not.

How can you not have ONE Led Zeppelin Album in there but The Arctic Monkeys at 5. Typical NME JOKE!

In thirty years time in it will be itneresting to see how many units The Libetines are shifting of Up The Bracket.

It can't be rated in the top 10 of all time. That's ridiculous. What about Radiohead, Nirvana, U2, Oasis (What's the Story Morning Glory), REM, Pink Floyd? To name but a few!

The democratic and free EU
Ten white, male, British, bands. What wonderful variety and insight.

They always used to vote for Marvin Gaye's "Whats Going On?" as well to introduce a hint of balance.

The new NME list is (supposedly) the best albums of all time by BRITISH bands.

These lists are designed to get people talking.

And it's worked. Again.

What would everybody's top ten be? Let's have a DEBATE! I imagine they will vary GREATLY.

Put then in order if you want.

1) Super Furry Animals - Fuzzy Logic
2) The Street - Original Pirate Material
3) Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
4) Super Furry Animals - Radiator
5) Prodigy - Experience
6) Oasis Definiately Maybe
7) Massive Attack - Blue Lines
8) Leftfield - Leftism
9) Tricky - Maxinquaye
10) Ash - 1977 ( I know they're Irish but they all want top be English)

Edit: having seen it's British bands I must edit....done.
