Been all through the "hate" years in the late 70's/ early 80's .
Now it's replaced with a big desire for you to lose.
The Brighton fans I've met socially have been sound, football loving blokes, who love their team with a passion.
In saying all this, if we relegate you at Selhurst, I will laugh my socks off.
Here's hoping .

The feeling is mutual. By the way, when Palace are relegated I take size 11 socks. :drink:

As a JCL I didn't as I haven't been exposed to much of the rivalry, but seeing so much shite posted by some of their bellend uberfans on NSC I do now.

You won't get a second chance, your loss :D

I think hatred towards ISIS is more appropriate than banter between fans who prefer blue and white rather than red and blue, or that diagonal stripe that they used to wear.

I hate them. Never used to but since playing them in the championship and some goons charging at us as the police let them head to their train I just really lithe them. There's also some
Dickhead Palace fans in the office that just add fuel to my hate fire. I also flick a finger at the ground every time I head to London on the train. Very often in my suit.

I've always hated them, but if there was ever a moment when I remembered why it was when one came right up to me in a pub and called me an effing Brighton C*** to my face when they scored their last minute winner at Withdean. Mind you the pub was deep in Palace country.

If you're using the word "hate" to describe a football team, you really need to think about giving up following football and re-adjusting your life-values. It's a far too extreme emotion, especially for something you really don't play any active participation in.

For me, I'm not bothered at all, they rarely come into my radar. They have, at time, been ok to watch over the last few years.

Don't play any active participation in? Really? And been ok to watch? What the ****!

A lot of their fans are wind up merchants. I hate those ones and the ones that live in Sussex. So it's a similar feeling with Portsmouth. I also hate south London and grime "music". I just love to see the smiles wiped off their faces. They hate us, and I have no idea why, so I hate them for that as well. They like to think they are the best fans in the country just because they have about 50 black hoodie clad nobheads with a drum that stand at the front of that stand where the mics are! Their songs are crap as well, almost all of them have "ooohhhhoohhhh" in them. They really are terrible and so boring to listen to. They like to think they're hard but requested a police escort for when they came down here :ffsparr:

As for the club itself:

1. Their nickname has no bearing on the area they're from, nor does it represent the club.
2. The admins.
3. Goal music, and the fact that it's by a band that has nothing to do with them whatsoever.
4. Not apologising for 'Poogate' and letting our club take the rap for it.

The players don't bother me that much, although I love seeing them get sent off. That fact that when they lose, they disappoint and anger their fans, just makes me want them to lose all the time.

If you don't, atleast, have a dislike for Palace, then you are not a true Albion fan in my book, especially after seeing our last few games against them.

Love Albion
Hate Palace

That is in every fibre of my body everyday of my life.

One way I know that the rivalry is a massive part of being an Albion fan is that every time we play them, I look forward to it more than our previous game against them, and I want us to beat them even more than before. I don't get that with any other club.

Revenge will be sweet.

I haven't felt so bad after a loss to any team than I have with Palace, which must say everything. I can't wait for the games and I will be absolutely gutted if I don't get an away ticket.

It's a hard one.. a loathsome group with a small but deluded bunch of brainwashed followers who should be shunned by all right-minded people or ISIS.

They really do hate US 6 fingered sussex inbreds-with a passion. They sing a song about one man fighting Brighton.
they don't pay their bills---stealing money off others, sending businesses to the wall.most of their home town is thoroughly unpleasant and dangerous to live in.
;Since I was 8 I have seen the violence every time we meet ---that is 43 years now-and without police intervention murders and other serious issues would have escalated out of all proportion--seriously it has always been far worse against Palarce.
Definition of Hatred ; loathing, dislike, distaste etc so Hatred is the correct word .
the lily livered and do-gooders need to get inside Brighton station and feel the atmosphere between the two sets of fans when the scums train pulls in --its not big or clever--its just fact we have an intense dislike of each other--HATRED

I like to think of myself as a rational guy in his mid 50's. Namely I like to think I am respectful and that I value that we are all have differences, be it age, sexuality etc etc.
But where CPFC are concerned all that rational thought goes out of the window, I detest them and everything they stand for .

I'm in my mid 60's, but I echo every word of this.

I hate them Have since I was little and see no reason to change now. If you want to pursue this new age happy clappy version of being a football fan then good luck, that is your choice, but for me and others of my generation and circle WE HATE PALACE!!!

Your generation! How old are you then as the rivalry really only goes back to 76.

I had been supporting The Albion for 7 years by then and my generation doesn't "hate" them, wants to see them get beat yes, "hate" no - as someone else has said hate is for teenage girls and Harry Enfield characters!

Well at a guess I'm about the same age as you and I do hate them. Your opinion of that is yours and that is up to you. Judging by the poll though mine appears to be the prevailing view but patronise away if it makes you happy...
