Pitch Invasions at Northampton and Doncaster

If they do that then a large proportion of the stadium won't be able to see them I.E. the whole of the WSU

Well, that's just dissed a number of your fellow Albion fans who were at Walsall the last time we won anything! All good natured, nobody running to the Walsall end to confront them, or any such nonsense. The Walsall stewards all quite happy to let us enjoy ourselves in the sunshine.
Which is where I sit but will make the pilgrimage to the pitch for said purpose

My reply is you have no fun in you're life. There has never been a Brighton promotion that hasn't been followed by a pitch Invasion. EVER. Every time the players have come out later to celebrate. Every time. Yet bores like you want to change tradition for their own petty self interest.

Its been 34 years since Brighton has been in the first division. I know I am going to cry my heart out that night. Since I have never seen Brighton in the first division. If they don't invade I will be saddened.

I've been on the pitch - back in the day. Any announcements of 'please don't run on the pitch' were half hearted, and there was little or no action taken even if people did run to the away end for a gloat (or worse). I think that today, unless its clear the club are OK with it - and that includes our players - then its a big no from me.My point about those doing it looking silly very much applies to more recent times. If you have just won the semi final of the LDV trophy and are on you way to a wembley final to face Fleetwood or somesuch then, yes, a pich invasion, shirts off and flab on show seems about right. Tin pot antics for a tin pot success.
For us, for the future, a pitch invasion, especially a messy one with the team struggling off not to reappear till the ground is half empty, and hoards of JCLs off their tiny tits on alcopops and weed charging about and frightening the elderly would simply cement us in the minds of our soon to be premiership friends as terribly over-excited and horribly tin poy.
Anyway, we'll have to differ on this. All the best.

If we win the title, it will be the very same trophy!
Like I said, if its not done in contravention of the club's requests, and does not lead to stewards or police chasing people about, then fine.
But to my eyes, yes, Man City tin potted themselves.
However, I have been wondering why I have so much antipathy for pitch invasions, and suspect its because it reminds me too much of the last season at the Goldstone, and the fact it is the 20th aniversary. Seeing people running about on the pitch makes me feel a bit wistful, as I have very strong memories of York (which I attended), and the last home game (which I did not), in which the pitch invasions were not joyful (although plenty of folk appeared to be enjoying them,selves far too much). I'm still haunted by those days, and the shock and horror of the first game at Gillingham where only one end was open. That was like death. Anyway, my problem I guess. I shall endeavour to get a grip.
