I think the fact you don't appreciate the difference of Scotland being part of the UK and the UK being part the EU suggests you don't really understand what you have just voted on.

No one stand out candidate but virtually anyone would be better than present incumbent.
Personally right now I'd go for Alan Johnson. Working class background, would keep the unions on board (where was Ken McCluskey et al during the Referendum?, answer: nowhere), and someone who's personality and common sense approach would both appeal but crucially reach out beyond Labour's old support.

The need to get rid of the Blairite faction was needed, trying to be nice to them and conciliatory was never going to work with such a treacherous bunch and so the big stick is needed. Hopefully they will now all be deselected from the Labour Party including Peter Kyle and loyal party members who will campaign to the party's agenda and not their own will be selected to stand

Notably, Andy Burnham has given Corbyn his support. He'll be hoping Corbyn resigns and Burnham will then definitely get it. Loyal to Jezza, which the membership will like, but just about electable.

I am not using neo-Marxist language I am referring to Labour's underlying political ideology. In short, the Labour Party has a cohort that supports its traditional socialist outlook and that does not square with its other cohort that advocates free market capitalism.
A charismatic leader will not solve it either, we had one of those and he poisoned the well of British politics more than anyone else before or since.
The fact that 52% of the voting electorate ignored the "guidance" of the British and global establishment can be attributed to how they have lost trust in politicians and their wider supporting cast.

I don't understand, is Skinner not elected by his constituents then, I must have missed the meeting that enables him to float into parliament as an MP without an electoral mandate.
It is your kind of condescension for the people who elect the likes of Skinner that has got us to where we are.
You Labour supporting Tories think you have the solution, you are really just part of the problem; you want what the Tories want but you can't bring yourself to vote for them, better to contaminate another political party that could provide a genuine political alternative.
