England 400-7 (111.1 overs) :clap2:

With Ali 80*, I guess England will be looking to bat on at this pace (last 10 ovs 62/1 RR 6.20) to give him a shot at getting to a 2nd Test hundred?

Oh dear... Broad gone for 7

Another nick... not good movement of his feet after an earlier short one... loose drive... and another catch for the replacement keeper Mendis.

England 400-8

SkySports just zoomed in on an England flag at the back of the stand, upon which was written in large letters "That Tinpot Club From Sussex"

I think the writing on the red cross bit (wasn't entirely visible) read "Crawley Town". Fair one there by the flag owner :)

Been away for an hour and a half (40 minutes of which was lunch) and Moeen Ali has motored on to 137*

England 472-9 (125.3 overs)

Finn just perished... swiping at a slog sweep and top edging a catch to the grateful bowler Herath!

Herath's 300th Test wicket :clap2:

Finn(10) and Ali (the rest) put on 72 for the 9th wicket at over 5 an over!

Moeen Ali brings up his 150 with a SIX :clap2:
151* (193 balls, 17 fours, 2 sixes) :clap2:

His highest Test score and only the 5th by an England no.7 :clap2:

Piling on the agony is never pointless... a decent burst before tea is probably the target.

Understand that, but when the score is like this I never see the point in putting your main strike bowler in the firing line. Ok, so the Sri Lanka attack is not that frightening, but it doesn't take much to break a finger, or twist an ankle or something.
