Are Albion fans too nice?

I think we're a pretty patient lot, and intelligent enough to realise that booing the team (however tempting and justified) won't improve things on the pitch. That said, patience will only stretch so far and 1 win in 16 games must be nearing the limit now.

I hope that Bloom acts before the atmosphere becomes poisonous at the ground, which will help no one.

Important to remember that none of you really "exist" in real life.

One develops a "persona" on boards such as this which is nowhere near their true selves.

People like "El Presidente", "Ernest", "Hoveborn&bred" and "Ben's Grandad" aren't real people, they are clickbait designed to drive hits and earn revenue for the owner of the domain. Their opinions are so outlandish and ridiculous that nobody could possibly believe them or take them seriously but they draw lots of "clicks" and replies and precious ad revenue.

With this is mind, most people who ACTUALLY go to matches are pretty normal, sane people who aren't going to spend time on here posting nonsense for other morons to read. NSC does not represent actual fans opinions in any way, shape or form. The real fans are on Facebook, reading the paper form of the Argus or discussing the Albion with their work colleagues.

It's just click-bait.
Darren posts these types of questions frequently in order to increase traffic and increase the chances of clicked ads.
This equals more money for Darren/NSC.

Exactly..hence you will see mods start threads when the board goes quiet...to generate posts/visits etc

Most of you feel a gratitude of debt to TB for all he has done for your club, and rightly so.
But there is no doubt though he has made some boo boo's, and I reckon he is being badly advised. His dilemma is should he stick or twist with Hypia, his record is shocking and he surely won't last to the new year, but the financial side of paying off the old managerial staff, and recruiting new people, must come into play.
TB must see it as one game of poker he must win, fold or see it out to the end.

I cannot believe the lack of action from Tony Bloom. His own performance is absolutely shocking and I cannot believe he is preciding over all this. How is keeping SH as our manager helping?

There's not been any real show against Hyypia at all yet.

Would there be many other clubs, with the expectation levels we have, who would be so quiet at games in relation to their thoughts about the manager?

Supporting the team at games is, of course, absolutely the right thing to do, but by now I would have expected more dissent towards Hyypia to have been put into the mix. It raises the stakes considerably because it's difficult for an owner/board to ignore or gloss over, particularly when it becomes a focal point for match reports in the media, which it generally does.

Are we too nice? Maybe we're just very patient.

At what point would significant vocal opposition to Hyypia's tenure become to be a feature at games?

Why should there be any voice against Sammi,he did not raise the expectations of the new fans and then not get in players to fulfill those expectations , that was Tony. What should have been said when we moved into the Falmer was, we have a new ground, but don`t expect bricks and mortar to guarantee promotion.

Blimey. It's been a tough contest but you win "most ridiculous post of the year" and, with only three weeks left of it I don't think you will be beaten. Ernest is, of course, a characature but, knowing who he is in real life he certainly wasn't a shrinking violet back in the day. HB&B specialises in click bait but actually for the very Argus you talk about. BG is either EXACTLY the same in real life or he some how extended his NSC persona to the old phone in for reasons unknown (except presumably to lizards and the Illuminati). El Pres has a couple of comedy sock puppets but is, by and large, a fairly well known football analyst who likes a poo joke.

On here you have at least two fairly famous serious journalists, someone who is high up in BBC social media, a disabled kid who swears when he's challenged, several bloggers and fanzine writers, ex (and probably current) hooligans, nerds, (bad) song creators, moaners, WUMs and alcoholics. Literally the ONLY thing they have in common is that they are all Brighton fans.

The idea that they only post click bait when instructed by Bozza is hilarious though not quite as funny as the idea that your average Argus reader and Facebook user represent the sane end of the scale.

I didn't mention anything about Bozza? Did he put you up to that reply?

Is there anything you want to tell us about your motives?

Was that intentional irony?

Heading for shore
That's where the die hard support comes from.

The veterans of the 90s are now between mid thirties to granddads. Of the group I used to go away with a couple never bothered after getting banned by the old regime, one watches Lewes and a more infamous one adds to his collection of Weatherspoon's pubs and County League type grounds. The rest are generally derided on here as hysterical moaning bedwetters even though most of what they've warned about has come to pass.

Very true and same here mate. You can add Lancing to the hard-core support hinterland too.

Admit it, you're loving it.

You will be salivating on Friday night, when Albion and Millwall, both in the mire, play each other.

Of course I'm loving it !
Must admit I don't know who I want to lose on Friday, but I feel the loser will be seeking a new manager.

Don't think it helps the team shouting at the manager during the game however I would give him until the start of January and see if he buys or brings in a couple of good players! I still think we are better than our league position. Come on the Albion:albion2:
