Face it, if he had been signed by BHA, even for the DS, there'd have been a rousing chorus of "Why are we signing a striker from Burgess Hill? We're tinpot. No ambition. " etc, etc. on here.

We did make an offer for him, but Hull offered more and better terms for the player.

Bit like the Irish lad a few months back! Do we have a traitor on our scouting system? Seems we are doing the donkey work for others yet again! This guy was worth a punt and should have easily been a Dev. squad option! Transfer policy is far too cautious and is really starting to show! Not many young strikers at the club for ages now!!

Problem being that our chairman had a hand in getting Wilkins sacked. Which pi$$ed Chappers off and lead to him falling out of love with football for some time. So, not surprised he's not doing the Albion a favour.

Is it a safe assumption that whenever a player is signed by any club (Championship up) people will ask why we didn't sign them first?

Right, Oxford (league 2, probably more game time but less salary) or Hull (DS but more £ than Oxford, and probable League 1/2 loan for game time), no brainer. And he's good. Very good!
