    Ahead on my TV. Logically, commentary is always behind the action. It’s fractional but noticeable on key moments. You don’t shout that the keeper’s made a great save, for instance, just as she touches it. *That Nigeria save sounded about right so it’s possible they’ve now addressed the problem.

    ITV"s pre-publicity included 3 men, none of them in front of camera. The BBC's included 2 men, both coaches of women's teams. It's good to see that, for the women's game unlike the men's, the pundits are required to have been involved in the competition they're covering.
