Just saw Marisse Nadler discussed above, her albums in my top 20 along with Sharon Van Etten which is another blissful female singer songwriter - I Love you but I'm Lost being the pick of the tracks IMO.

I just read Drowned in Sound and Pitchfork, then download any album I fancy the sound of on Spotify, if I really end up liking the album I buy it which runs about 6 or so albums a month. Just seen the Resident top 100, the war on drugs in at first. I totally get why people like that record but...

That Total Control album is a goody, definitely recommended and glad it got recognition from Rough Trade.

The most recent Thee Oh Sees album was disappointing last years album was amazing though.
