People still hate Gus and cannot believe that a player would choose to play for him. I wish them both well and look forward to what Oscar can do with the money and players we have.

Bennett did exactly the same thing. He handed in a transfer request although he was persuaded to stay to help us get promoted.

Players do a job. Have you ever left a job to go somewhere else? There is only one kind of loyalty in football and that is the fans. Players and mangers come & go but the club goes on.

Very often these articles are written to sound like the person has made a direct quote when there is nothing to substantiate it.

With respect, Gus hasn't leaked anything. De Fanti is doing the negotiating. Have you seen any direct quote or interview where Gus has mentioned Brighton or players? It is also possible, that Liam actually prefers playing for Gus. I know that sounds impossible to some, but it might just be true...

Maybe David Burke should be told that by Bloom. He used to do the same job at Southampton and got good prices for their players, so I can't see why he doesn't get a decent price for us.
