A small anomaly has occurred to me.
What's the difference between Ben White and Argie McJockoface?
Both young.
Both snaffled up by the Albion.
Both out at their second loan club.
Both seemingly destined to play for the Albion next season.
I can't help think a cross reference between the 2...
I believe it's because they still support a small club, a club who would drop it's draws to the likes of Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea and Leeds.
Imagine the queue of cars parked outside Withdean if those clubs were sniffing around Colin Hawkins, with money to burn.
As said a bazillion times already, why would he leave the Albion while he and it's head coach would be a marriage made in heaven.
A year or two under GPott is exactly what he needs right now.
It makes absolutely no sense to keep Duffy at the top of this valuation.
Sell White at his first valuation, no matter how high, Mr Bloom will expect it to be higher.
No sense to sell both.
No sense to keep both.
That makes no sense to me what so ever.
Why sell the player who is seemingly all of GPott's fantasies in one, in order to generate money to buy a lesser version while being held to ransom buy his selling club?
Yet not off loading Shane Duffy for around £20m.
Luckily for the Albion Mr Bloom doesn't share your small.club mentality.
The Albion won't be accepting anything as White has not reached his market value.
Come back to this thread in 18 months time and we'll see what your £25m looks like in relation to young Master White.
I am not saying anything against White as I consider him to be a great prospect but could he turn out to be another Dunk a very good championship player who may turn out to be a Premier quality one in time.
Despite what PFG and plenty of others would have us believe.
All the evidence would suggest if White could choose a PL manager to play for, GPott would be that man.
While The Albion would be that club, as he's pretty much guaranteed a contract extension next September...
...October...
Have you sort permission from Harry Wilson's tackle?
The reason I came to this thread was to wonder how many pointless posts would have been made if next August the first starting XI of the season contains:-
- Leeds' Ben White
- Argie McJocko
&
- Percy.
If only we were a big enough club to...
