Not against my opinion. I have always championed it, and think it will be absolutely brilliant when it is finished. I cycle past it every day, and it has been great to see it develop and progress.
Yeah, penetration would be tricky if the girth is not uniform :eek:
I think the penetration aspect, and the uniquness of this, is going to be part of the attraction. And I still think it looks brilliant.

It will look very different.
Large towers with no apparent use become iconic and this will be no exception. It will look great, and will become a focal point of our city. I am really looking forward to seeing it (and find it quite impressive already).
I have been aware of him...every other thread seems to be started by him, and most are utterly unnecessary as far as I can see.

I am surprised that anyone would think it will look crap, personally.
Obviously, it isn't finished, and like many constructions it doesn't look great whilst being built. I can see the Shoreham Power Station comparison right now, but when it's done it'll be more akin to a shorter CN Tower, or...
You will get a great view over Brighton and the Downs. Both beautiful, both full of sights worth seeing, and seeing them from a new angle will be lovely.

I don't understand the negativity.
The Spinnaker Tower is great, yes. But I think that the i360 is going to be just as iconic. It's so different to anything we have seen before, and will become a World famous landmark.
It's location compared to the Spinnaker - much better in my opinion. Right on the beach, and in Brighton, not...
