Hopefully but I think it's probable he is considered too much of a gamble. He is a different type of player to Calleri too, they'd make an astonishing partnership but as you say, Calleri seems much more suited to life in the Championship and has proved himself consistently in a much better...
I wasn't convinced he was a Championship player in his vids all though he does look exceptionally talented and will be suited to many other top leagues around the world. Calleri seemed a lot better fit. Hopefully our 'real' target will be netted soon.
FFS! I'm trying to work here but now I'll need to check this thread every ****ing 10mins for the rest of the ****ing day. What does 'shortly' mean!!!!!
Along with Tim Cahill & Mohamed Sissoko BUT these are players in their 30's topping up their football earning with huge salaries before they retire whilst enjoying the 'big fish in a small pond' adulation in China. Surely it's in Bolanos' interests to play at a high standard in a competitive...
That's better! I do, however, think your more likely to take the steps up the football league if you are a striker with the build of a Zamora, Woods, Murray. Austin, Rhodes. Players like Ulloa, Jonathan Kodjia & Chris Martin seem to thrive more in the Championship than players with the build of...
Whilst you make your very point well, a more interesting example would be to name some strikers the size and strength of CMS & Baldock that have taken the step up? You've given us a list of big strong boys (other than Wilson).
A lot of Miller's goals on his vidz seem to be scored on the counter attack. I can't find many goals where he has been closely marked or where there has been a number of players around him. He scores some great goals from outside the box but would he have the time and space to do that in the...
Yes. We need a Rhodes, Austin or Grey to cement our Championship challenge but we can't afford to shop in this country for one. Rhodes has 8 goals so far this term in a poor Blackburn team - he'd be on double figures by now with us. So let's at least try to sign a player of his class from...
Here here! If we're going to splash that amount of cash in Calleri, the least we can do is to provide him with a strike partner who speaks the same language!
Indeed, much better strike rate than his Ecuadorian team mate (West Ham Striker Enner Valencia: 27 in 130 for Emelec, 2010-13)
