Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

Especially as teams will know we've just sold Knockaert and have money to spend. It is our strongest position but Knockaert is the best option and will win us a lot of points this season.

Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

Hull are in real trouble. No signings, no manager and in danger of losing key players. Can't believe they've made such a mess of the summer. As for Newcastle, it sounds like their interest might have cooled in Knockaert but not because of Diame. Think he is more a Sissoko replacement when he...

Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

I know they are a big club and there must be temptation for Knockaert but, as you say, they are not a stable team. There is also a big chance if they go up with Knockaert that they would then spend a lot more money and he would find himself as back up, as he did with Leicester. With us, that...

Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

Agree with this. It is all up to Knockaert. If he's happy, we won't accept any bid for him. If he wants to go, we might let him go but you can guarantee we will take everything we can from Newcastle before they sign it.

Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

There seem to be more Twitter accounts every year making up transfer stories. I can't believe anybody believes any of it. I even doubt local papers these days. Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

On the other hand, I feel they probably have a number of targets and, if we turn down a couple of offers, they'll move on to another target that is easier to buy. Money is meaningless to them. I may be wrong but I think he'll stay for that reason. We also seem determined to hold on to players...

Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

I am glad that someone has sense on here. It seems that a lot of people have gone mad on here and are panicking.

Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

I agree with most of that. He is our most creative player and would be crucial. However, we found a bargain in Knockaert in January. If we get £15 million for him and spend double what we spent on a winger on replacing him, then we would still have £10 million left. I would be gutted if he left...

Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

Same as with Dunk and Stephens, it will take a huge offer (massively over his value) for us to sell, especially to a team from the same division. As others have said, if their opening offer is at least £6 million (as the Argus say), it shows what a good deal we got in January.
