I firmly believe that Stephens should have at least been brought on after 20 mins against Newcastle when it was obvious that Shelvey Haiden and Gouffran were running the show and had they been stopped we may have got something out of the game.
That is the correct answer as we need him as much as he needs us now and neither Sidwell or Norwood offer the same as he does or gel with Kayal as well as he does. I know Sidwells strong points but as yet have not seen the benefit Norwood offers over the other 3 central midfielders but then...
Friday issue of The Sun in football snippets says Dale Stephens has told the club he is off in the summer but we all know that isnt what he said because what he actually said was he would honour his contract
Which is why it was rejected. The onus was on Burnely for submitting ridiculously low bids and knowing TB resolve they should have have put in a bid that made him at least consider it. They didnt so DS was forced to try to help them out but well done to TB for resisting the money. Now lets...
I cannot understand all the fuss about his late transfer request as by doing so there could only be one winner if it was accepted us. He would have lost his 5% Burnley having not had to pay it increased the offer to us so as I say 1 winner,,,,us, However TB decided, right in my eyes...
IMHO Pritchard was the key to any move and was Target A and that B & C didnt exist because we expected to get Pritchard not getting him completely threw us ..We will never know the full story behind this so I think that it is best now to draw a line under it and look forward to Dale Stephens...
Dale Stephens should be venting his feelings at his agent not Brighton or their fans. Who is his agent by the way? I would hazard a guess that his new off er on his contract will be increased and he will sign it in October
Had they put in a sensible bid early, the outcome may have been different but they didnt and it wasnt so now lets go forward with DS in the team and perhaps Kayal will play better than he has so far with his co midfielder in the side and the outlook may not be so bleak as it appeared on Sunday.

Just hope TB can keep his nerve for another 10 hours with Hull sniffing around Stephens and Spurs after Sissoko at Newcastle which means they may come in for Knockaert with a big bid.
