lets face it, it probably isn't true. Most of what comes out of Farage's mouth isn't. So now it's the incompetent government and not the EU that are stopping you from controlling your borders. I thought that this was project fear? I won't comment on the illegal immigrants working at border...

Getting back to your original point. If I remember it correctly. Over the years it has been proven again and again that the vast majority of people crossing the channel are bona fide refugees who once processed are granted asylum status. I don't see anything in your stats that show otherwise.

I have been prescribed a daily copy of the Daily Mail but it just is not doing me any good. The church suggested 5 Richard Littlejohns, 3 Nigel Farages and a Boris Johnston a day but all to no avail I am doomed to my woke echo chamber :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Can you copy and paste where you got the 40% rejected out of hand? Your link clearly states that 94% of those processed have been granted asylum. The only part that I could find that mentions 40% is this bit. Of around 7,000 who have received an initial decision since 2018, 43 per cent were...

Nothing to do with making the government look good. But it does seem like a deliberate ploy on the part of the government...

Very much pre 2016. I won't post links old mate, you can find them if you want to be informed. I am done with trying to persuade radicalised individuals who clearly have no desire or capacity to change their views on anything. Or you can just use your memory, I am sure you were on them in one...

You have been around this board long enough (with various different user names) to know that this post is utter utter nonsense. The posters on this thread have been discussing this issue for years and years. If your memory is fading you can look back through the archives and find out for...

Bit late for this isn't it? The tragedy of people being forced to flee their homes was politicised and weaponised many many years ago. It has taken a while but it is good you have finally recognised it. Pity more people didn't realise it years ago before it lead to you all leaping off the...

I see the same misinformed nonsense is being peddled on this thread. Some shit for the last 10 years. The right to hold an opinion is of course everyone's but surely with this comes the responsibility to do a little research and understand the charters that have been signed up to and the...

So you are asking for evidence showing that thousands more people have decided to risk their lives to get to the UK since the UK left the EU apart from that shows thousands more people that have decided to risk their lives to get to the UK since the UK left the EU? I jest of course, but...

Your not being able to see it doesn't make it any less true. The stats and info you posted do not show what you suggest they do. The Dublin Regulation didn't act as a deterrent because its purpose was not to be a deterrent...

I am sure we would all agree that the idea number of Asylum seekers is 0. This can be said for the asylum seekers themselves. No one wants this problem to be happening but unfortunately, it is. To reduce the number of applications in the UK just means pushing the problem elsewhere. According...

You have either misunderstood or misrepresented the Dublin Regulations in your first post about it. Your next post shows that you have misunderstood the data that you posted about the Dublin Regulation. Rather than being " a scheme where we returned a very small number of migrants while...

Correlation doesnt prove causality My lack of knowledge on this subject means I cannot decide whether it is a coincidence. Can you point me in the direction of the evidence that has persuaded you that the EU is responsible for the UK no longer manufacturing aircraft, cars and boats? Edit: a...

I agree there isn't one we can vote for but perhaps at this stage the least worst is the best we can hope for. I disagree that foreign policy doesn't make any difference. I think that it is the foreign policies of some countries that has made the situation worse. It all looks fairly hopeless...

Ultimately, the answer to the problem is to make people's homes safe to live in so they don't need to leave and find somewhere else. If we look at foreign policy so we see decisions made to increase stability in the areas that people are leaving. Or are our governments' interventions motivated...
