Good post, but do you think that without UKIP and Farage that both Milliband and Cameron would have publicly stated that we need to get more control on immigration in this country?
Ok so when you say substantial what kind of % would you put on that? of the 40000 people who have just voted for UKIP in the by elections how many are racist? half? more?
They might not represent you're British values, but they do for other people, why not just accept that seeing as you believe in tolerance, openness and freedom? to shout them down with insults is rather contradicting you're own values.
I really wish I could buy into the BBC being impartial, they excel at making great documentary's and make some amazing dramas, but as far as politics goes there is no way they report from a balanced impartial position in my view.
No, but its funded by the public ( and receives funds from the EU ) and is suppose to remain impartial, do you see the BBC as neutral in its political bias? Because I don't.

So the daily hatchet jobs on the BBC about ukip are ok then? the Panorama that they did on Farage was the most biased piece of propaganda that I have ever seen, but because the BBC is seen as the great bastion that it is people believe all the slurs that they report.
