I don't think so. I'm convinced professional footballers' brains aren't wired the same way as the rest of us!
If I was in a job where I wasn't happy, didn't like my colleagues and didn't feel the love from the 'customers' ('cos they ain't giving him much!) .....................I would, and did...
Arsenal fans were quite vocal wondering why they'd bought Ben White when they alredy had Saliba. Now that Saliba has returned from his loan, they've got thheir wish and White has been shunted out to RB to accommodate Saliba in the centre alongshde Gabriel..
Yes, I think it's an absolute fact that you, me, or most random posters on NSC, could make a better job of implementing VAR than the PGMOL or the EPL! :)
Yes, you'd like to think so, wouldn't you - but I've been told very firmly further up this thread that the idea is absolute bollox and can't be allowed!
That's not what I asked. Could the referee have gone over to the monitor of his own accord to check out what he was being told by the Chelsea players, without any invitation by The Complete and Utter one?
Clearly Chelsa players told him what had happened. Genuine question: could he have gone over to the monitor to review it (in which case he should have) or is he only allowed to look at the montor when invited to do so by te VAR?
See Cucu's taking corners for Chelsea now - and very well! Did we miss out on that?
On a side note, I see that the referee who was incompetant in dealing with the Cucu hair-pull incident has been deemed as good enough for little old Brighton's trip to Wet Sham.
I'd much rather he'd joined City. I've disliked Chelsea for far longer than I've disliked City - and I think he'd have fitted in better there; he coud have slotted straight in and become a fans' hero, not have to scrap it out week by week to get a game on the left ahead of Chilwell and...
If he flops at Chelsea, it will do tremendous damage to our future ability to buy players, bring them on and sell them for top prices - so bearing that in mind, do shut up!
Well, I called that one wrong, it seems! Amazed, though, how many people seem to think that loaning us Colwill is a better result for Chelsea than selling him. I always wanted us to get and keep all the Cucurella money. We may - or may not - have rinsed Chelsea in this, but I'd have been quite...
