[Albion] Better song for Mitoma - suggestion

Apart from Apart from the casual racism and offensive term it scans... Not implying that the poster is racist but that term can be considered very upsetting in some communities so best leave out

[Albion] West Ham and Bournemouth sold out, ticket exchanges open

Assuming you're under 65 and shes over 21, if you put it on the exchange and your son buys it instantly and downloads the ticket to a phone then it should only cost you £1 to do (but theres a bit of a timing lag) (Awaits responses showing why this is wrong in 34 different ways)

[Albion] Better song for Mitoma - suggestion

I always liked a version of the following to the chorus of 'My old Man's a Dustman'. Mitoma's a fast man He's got them fast men legs He runs at slow defenders And hits the back of the net Appreciate, it may need some refinement...

    [Football] Those flame throwers.

Once I went for lunch in town (think it was Kokoro) then picked up a chocolate bar and a doughnut from Tesco by the library. As I was eating the doughnut a seagull swooped down and took it. I assumed it was a higher power somewhere saying "stop being greedy, you fat f**k"

    [Football] Those flame throwers.

Prefer the flamethrowers at the Amex to the Fireworks. Yes, we feel the heat in the front row but the fireworks scared the 5 year old last week and took about 10 minutes to recover. Our 9 year old would be even worse affected by the bangs going off.

[Football] "That wouldn't have been a(n) 'xxxx' last season...."

Consistency will always be the issue. Mitoma got a yellow for kicking the ball away into the crowd. Deservedly. But Chong in the same match ran over to stop a quick free kick. Should have been a yellow. I'm generally in favour but it needs to be applied consistently

[Football] Women’s WC Final - who is watching?

The women's team are insanely talented. There is an argument that they have been the best team (alongside City) in all of football over the last couple of years. We are very lucky to see them in action

    [Humour] Villa Park's Vomitory

Bought a couple of tickets earlier for Villa Park and was shocked to see a number of 'Vomitory' being shown. My recollections of Villa Park from when I was a teenager didn't suggest that it was that sick inducing but maybe they have a lower tolerance to alcohol up north. * For all the pendants...

[Football] Could long term player contracts become the norm?

Brady notoriously gave a hometown discount. I've never seen a 'proper' footballer give a hometown discount. Point is still valid when you see Mahomes/Allen get dwarfed a year later bu a good but not great QB

[Albion] Carlos Baleba SINGS a 5-year deal

Potentially, but it will depend on the club. However, some teams, such as Man Utd, have said publicly in the past that their preference is to wait and pay more for more PL ready and tested players rather then spend time nurturing them when they cant guarantee game time. For example, if Chelsea...

[Football] Could long term player contracts become the norm?

The question is partly linked to the level of player power going forward. We've seen some players miss out on potentially career bettering moves because they still have 3 years to run on their contract and their Chairman/club holding the cards in the negotiations. It is only when said player...

[Football] Chelsea - Spending well beyond FFP limits or astute purchases maxing out within FFP?

The Athletic had a fairly balanced article yesterday explaining how FFP applies to Chelsea and coming to the conclusion that they're probably ok for now. However, it's a high risk strategy and are banking on European qualification, inflation in prices etc to pull it off. Should one 9f those...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Luton Town *** Official Match Thread ***

Respectfully disagree, from where I was the first half felt relatively even. They attacked well at times, put crosses into the box but lacked a pure finisher (like many teams). They were physical but never overawed. Where they struggled was when they started to run out of legs / the quality of...

[Albion] De Zerbi: “Bigger clubs can buy our players but they can't buy our soul or spirit.”

Unfortunately, he got sidetracked in the next part of his conference... I am Roberto De Zerbi, and I see a whole team of my players here in defiance of Tyranny. We have come to fight as seagulls, and seagulls we are. What would you do as a seagull? Will you play? Si, play and you may get...
