[Football] It's That Time Of Year Again - BBC Patronises The FA Cup

Any sporting competition that Sky doesn't have rights to doesn't appear to exist in their eyes, including the World Cup and the Olympic Games.

[Football] It's That Time Of Year Again - BBC Patronises The FA Cup

The number of camera shots during last night's cup tie at Dulwich of people holding up foil/plastic replicas of the FA Cup was a teeny bit cringeworthy. That said, the BBC do continue to show an interest in the competition and have been streaming ties during the qualifying rounds via their...

[Football] Premier League admit VAR made a MISTAKE in awarding Brighton a last-minute penalty

All that matters here is the result that was printed in the newspapers on Sunday morning. Brighton and Hove Albion 3, Everton 2.

    [Football] Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones obviously has to carry the can with how results have gone, although in hindsight, that was a really bad fit for the job at Stoke. Stoke's regression over the past 2-3 seasons can be blamed on them allowing the nucleus of their squad to grow old together with no forward planning...

    [Albion] Premier League 8-10th November

I think it took Newcastle until their 11th match last season to win a match, but they ended up staying up comfortably. It has taken Watford an extra match to get a win on the board. Still relatively early yet with 2/3s of the season still to play and with Watford getting a couple of players back...

[Albion] Are we in a false position?

The middle of the table is very congested and everyone is capable of beating anyone else in the league on the day. Brighton could have had more points, they have also had games where maybe the result could have gone against them. But there are 12-14 teams in the division who could say the same...

    [Albion] Premier League 8-10th November

Given that Norwich conceded 56 goals in winning the Championship last season, their struggles in the Premier League this time are not surprising. As soon as Pukki's goals have dried up, so has Norwich's form.

[Football] Which three teams will be relegated this season

In '98, I think they stayed up at Bolton's expense on goal difference after quite early in that season they drew 0-0 at Bolton but Bolton had the ball well over the line but the goal wasn't given. They were 2-0 down in that match against Wimbledon too.

    [Albion] ** Manchester Utd v BHA ** - Score Predictor - Now in its 9th SEASON !!

Don't expect a dull game. McTominay's absence in midfield could mean Brighton enjoy quite a fair amount of possession. Brighton's height on set pieces could cause Man Utd some problems as set pieces at both ends of the field have been a problem for them. The more open the game is, the more it...

[Football] Which three teams will be relegated this season

Norwich concede too many goals, Watford don't score enough, so those 2 stand out. Southampton's home form is a big problem for them which makes me veer towards them going down rather than Newcastle.

[Albion] Why is Dunk consistently overlooked by England?

I'd say he's quite unfortunate. We are in a spell where there are quite a few English centre backs to choose from, but none of whom stand out as really top class. Given that the manager favours passing football and bringing the ball out from the back, Lewis Dunk should actually fit that way of...

[Albion] Anywhere likely to be screening Sunday's game?

I realise this may be a long shot, given that the Wolves-Aston Villa match is Sky's selected live match at 2:00pm on Sunday, but is there a likelihood that there will be anywhere in this fair city that will be showing the Albion's match at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon? A friend wanted to...

[Albion] Hughton's strange pre match comment

West Ham have had a good run since the last international break, after a disastrous first 4 games. But it was probably going to take time for new players there to bed in and for the existing ones to adapt to Pellegrini's methods and style of play. His approach is quite different to David Moyes'...

[Sussex] Where are the best pub quizzes in Sussex?

Apart from plugging my own quiz, I attended the Ladies Mile pub quiz last night on Mackie Avenue in Patcham. They a monthly quiz on the first Wednesday night of the month. The quiz is good and competitive, it's very well attended and they always have a raffle that raises money for charity.
