    No playoffs, this year..?

I agree, although the irony is how some folk are finding it hard to make a sober assessment at the moment !

    No playoffs, this year..?

There are a good number of teams who are stronger than us this year. We are about where we belong, and considering the injuries Oscar has done well. I'd be happy to see his contract extended as the club looks to the longer term.

Time for a British manager and 4-4-2

So in summary: If only we had a British manager, like Gus.....

    Does anyone wonder like me

I agree, it could turn out that we have saved ourselves a lot of money, or at least bought ourselves some good time to think again whilst adding strength to the frontline.

    England v France (rugby)

As much as the result is a setback, it's not terminal. The French have to go to Cardiff yet. It's going to be tight this year, and Wales struggles against Italy as well as the tightness of this result leave everything to play for. It's been an excellent start to the tournament.

RBS Six Nations 2014 (who's your money on?)

Agree with everything you have said. I can't see why people post on a thread like this if they have nothing helpful to add. I share a season ticket at Harlequins and find it a very different experience to football, but equally as enjoyable as football. Are you a member of a club locally at all?

Flower set to quit as England head coach

It's a shame Flower is going for me. It's clear he has the confidence of most folk. It looks like they are combining all the teams as one again and just having the single head coach. Cricket isn't like football though, the team are more accountable than the management.

RBS Six Nations 2014 (who's your money on?)

Ooh ello, didn't see this thread. France for me. If England win in Paris though my money is on them. Going to Twickers for my first international, against Wales, in March.

Rugby Union- Six Nations Championship *OFFICIAL THREAD*

PADDY POWER Wales 2/1 England 5/2 France 3/1 Ireland 5/1 Scotland 50/1 Italy 200/1 I'm backing France who are under-rated at the moment and seemingly slipping under the radar. Some quotes have them out at 9/1. The match in Paris tomorrow is crucial and may come to early for England with their...

Even Poyet thinks we sold Bridcutt too cheap

I would say he is more likely trying to bring justification to his purchase as money well spent. Particularly as bids were turned down, and his desire to get the player was almost feverish.

'APOCALYPTIC': Storm Brigid rages towards UK bringing 150MPH KILLER winds, rain and SNOW

Says a lot when most of us guessed the paper. Still waiting for the winter of snow we were promised, and the Mexican Killer Bees from the Daily Mail.

    David Rodríguez Sánchez. Confirmed signing.

Then again, maybe the player didn't want to sign a longer contract.
