Just seen the final penalty …… it’ll be a good return journey. Congrats.
Yessssssss! what a result and totally unexpected, the champagne lasted well into the night, thank you Mr.Chairman!

1-1 after 90 minutes, then straight to penalties, despite the 30 or 40 noisy Haywards Heath kids stationed behind the goal, all of our lads held their nerve, and we came out on top 12-11.

Congratulations to Horsham YMCA. A good club full of good people from my experience.

I saw Haywards Heath at Newhaven earlier in the season and their fans were an arrogant lot. "What's it like to watch proper football?" one kept shouting to the Dockers fans in the stand.

It was very funny when Newhaven won it in the last minute despite being down to 10 men. Even funnier that they are probably now going to win nothing this season and are in the shit when it comes to a points deduction

Lower Bourne .Farnham

Solihull are given a bye to the semi finals. Shots fans not happy but, despite being one of them, I think that's the right thing to do.
Totally agree ,we needed as it turned out only 9 points from the last 8 games to reach the Play offs . We just weren't good enough ,now this team will be broken up . Stokes to Bristol City and Tolaj to Wimbledon i expect .

Definitely had a few dickheads in their support, 99% of away fans that I’ve seen at Newhaven have been fine.
They had one loudmouth looking for a reaction before the game started, the type that talks really loud and keeps looking around.
They also had a group singing a song about inbreds…..Peacehaven fans are more respectful

I can't see Tolaj staying. He's good enough for Division 4.

Bit alarmed to see some Shots fans getting so far ahead of themselves at the moment.

Solihull play Halifax in a reshuffle. Fourth placed Altrincham go straight through to face Bromley away in the semi final. Solihull or Halifax away to Barnet in the other semi.

Could have been the same loudmouth twat I mentioned last week when we (Crowborough) beat them at the start of the season.

LMT: How are you lot top of the league?
PT: well we've accrued more points than any of the other teams in the league
LMT: Yeah but you are crap!
PT: well we've just beaten you....
LMT: Yeah but we were the better team.
PT: so you might have been, but football doesn't work like that I'm afraid.
LMT: If you are the best team in the league then we'll have it won by Christmas!
PT: I wish you all the luck in the world with that

How long before we hear what happens to Haywards Heath Town?

They are a funny club. It's my local team and I go there fairly often, but I have to say I've never really taken to them. Their group of 'ultras' behind the goal are quite annoying. They do make a decent amount of noise for a club at this level though, which I assume the players must like.

I'm not as sorry to see him go as you it seems. You're right it has been very entertaining, but also massively inconsistent.

My main gripe with him is that I genuinely think that he should have got more out of the Tanner/Maloney/Razz/JT team though.
I'm sorry to see him go. I think it was always going to be tough season after losing Razz and Taylor. But actually they're going to finish respectably.

However I think next season next season at the Pan is going to be very difficult.

They seem to have a bit of bee in their bonnet about Whitehawk. We did take a few of their players and manager, but they've really gone on about it. Maybe they shouldn't have sacked Saunders in the first place and replaced him with two chancers from South Park.

Gateshead have just been refused permission to take part in the National League play offs as they haven’t got a long enough lease on their stadium . What an appalling decision to make two days before the match
Gateshead was my first ever non league ground back when I was a student in Newcastle.

They were in the Northern Premier league at the time so it was even more sparse than it is now crowd wise, but it is absolutely HUGE for a non league ground.

They've struggled for many years, partly because of the ground not being a) theirs or b) a football ground. Their location means that almost everyone in Gateshead itself supports Newcastle or Sunderland but you'd think that with a purpose built ground they could attract fans (as many teams in Sussex have done, as this thread proves). It's just such an unenjoyable ground to go to regularly. For their long term sake it would be great if they could move away from the athletics stadium but as this latest move has shown, the local council don't seem overly supportive

Whitehawk at home tomorrow against Enfield Town, last midweek of the season. Kai Jennings the star of the show down there at them moment. On a work experience loan from AFC Wimbledon and got a late equaliser on saturday at Concord. In good form at the moment, considering they have nothing left to play for other than finishing above Lewes.

I’m not his number one fan or his assistant (he’s a bit of a prat IMO), I don’t think he’s done that well with the resources he’s had there. Big changes at Lewes in the summer for all teams I imagine.
