Hopefully we'll bin off Fergie this summer.
Then we begin the hard work of setting unsurmountable expectations for this child and be royally miffed when he fails.

Where does this myth about a youngster being able to play 2 games in 3 or 4 days without any affect come from? Yes, I know we used to play 4 matches in a weekend without it doing us any harm, etc, etc …. But did we play at that level, the intensity or have a training and fitness program designed for us? Of course not. He does and we should trust those making the choices.
It's what PL players do for much of the season if their team's in a European competition. Ferguson's done it at some points in the season, as have Hinshelwood, Buonanotte and Fatind - and comparing two games in three or four days with four games in a weekend is just ridiculous.

Yes, of course the management team is making the decisions, and quite rightly so. But the ability of super-fit young men to play two games in three or four days is no myth!

We are new to Europe. I was being a tad facetious about our 4 games in a weekend, it’s the standard response from anyone over 50 to a claim that players are tired. Not sure the young players you have mentioned have benefitted physically by being over played.

No, probably not - but they've done it more than once this season. Do you seriously think young O'Mahoney could not play for the U21s one Wednesday or Thursday, and be on the bench for the first team on Saturday? - and if required to come on for 10-20-30 minutes, if nothing else pure adrenalin would see him through. As a one off - he couldn't do it week in, week out, of course.

I see your point but unless we know the exact circumstances we could both dig our heels in and argue until we are blue in the face 🤣🤣

I've seen enough.

Easily our next £100,000,000+ transfer.

He genuinely looked like he had more about him than the rest who played for us today.
Much the same could be said if you and me were the late subs.

Bravo Mark - great moment on an otherwise humdrum day

The difference is that he has something to play for and the rest are drifting towards the summer break in their beach gear
In which case you have to question the management and their ability to motivate players. We still had so much to play for post Roma. And that still doesn’t explain the dreadful form for the last six months either.

After today, I’d like to see a lot more of MOM and his hunger though. May as well bin off Fati now and play a youngster who wants to do well.

In the main, I agree although I actually thought Fati and Buonanotte looked pretty decent today, I'm not really sure what Buonanotte has done to be dropped from the staring eleven either. He's only started 2 of the last 6

If he comes on today, it probably means:
a) Pedro and Welbeck have both pulled up injured.
b)We are 3-0 down with 10 minutes to go
c) We are 3-0 up with ten minutes to go.

Hopefully it is c) 😁
I wish Welbeck hadn’t started, appalling.
First time he held the ball up was at about 60 minutes.

Fati was poor. He just isn’t strong enough physically for the PL….
At the end, he wanted so many touches.
