Let's face it, it was obvious who the finalists were going to be after the first two minutes of interviewing.

Tre's "business plan" was nothing more than a list of ingredients for a shit drink, Paul's was absolute nonsense and Flo's was a pie in the sky money sponge. The other two are through by default.

Two absolute wasters in the final. A guy that took over his parents successful business and is running it into the ground, lost every task bar the one fixed for him to win and hasn't seen accounts in six months against some woman opening a couple of local gyms up North with no USP, no figures, no guaranteed income and very limited profitability. Bloody stupid. Was very obvious it was fixed for the 'pie guy' to win, despite him being comically shite.

The f***ing 'emotional music' and talking about their families etc in the interviews... Cringe American shite.

The three decent ones did have shit business plans, but that hasn't stopped him before (see putting pick n mix into cups at a 800% markup and the plumber guy).

Phil only knows numbers on a pi chart. Pie in the sky thinking he has any chance of winning.

The most contrived series yet. The tasks are irrelevant to the final outcome. About time the BBC stopped funding Sugar making more money.

Fair play to the dentist that didn't want to give away 50% of his decent business.

Sugar would have offered absolutely nothing for that 50%.

Tre was a joker thought, I doubt you could put 'testoserone enhancing' on a smoothie without having carried out millions of pounds worth of clinical trials and that is IF his magical concoction works. Pretty obvious how difficult that would be because if it was slightly achievable one of the other drink manufacturers would have done it already.

That was an absolute piss take by Sugar to value his 2 cosmetic dentistry practices at 500K, one of which is already a succesful operation. Nah, you're ok, mate.

I wonder how many people will be checking the Turners Pie shops this morning to see if they still say Established 1933?

Def impressed that he turned Sugar down obviously Sugar wanted him if he gave his business to him. Maybe if Sugar smart he should have said.

"I`m impressed ,you are a good businessman by not accepting my offer. You`re in the final."

Maybe he should have been on hour earlier on Dragons Den !!

How has Mr Pie got to the final, he must be one of the worst contestants of all time!
It's baffling isn't it? Another complete moron who was too lazy to google "what goes into a business plan?". No balance sheet. No P&L (although with the state of the business - 400K profit >> 100K profit >>unspecified loss, that may have been deliberate). He did put pictures of pies in it though.

Why wouldn't you ask someone, anyone with a bit of a clue, say his bank or his accountant or a fellow business owner to give the plan a once-over before submitting it? Mind-boggling arrogance.

He claims not to have seen any management accounts for over 6 months! WTF?

And he got caught out scamming the punters by claiming the business was established in 1930 when in fact it was 2018!

Looks like his parents grafted hard to establish a profitable business and it just fell into the pieman's lap who appears to be running into the ground.

Tre 's business plan reminded me of this

I think if he appeared on Dragons Den they’d bit his hand off just to get one up on Sugar

I'm not saying Phil has definitely won this but:

Phil: According to information available on the internet, he controls Turner's Pies Ltd, it has £729,415 of shareholder funds, 5 shops, 46 employees and an established brand ready for expansion, vs

Rachel: She controls R Nation Ltd, it has negative shareholder's funds of £125,000 so owes a shitload and looks as though it's about to go tits up. 1 employee, 2 sites.

N.B. As an accountant I couldn't help wincing when Sir Alan was questioning his accountants and Phil described them as "old fashioned". They are a Worthing outfit and that bit must have made for uncomfortable viewing for the staff and management.

Quick search for "VICI Dental" shows Dr Paul is only a co-owner - so he couldn't offer half of his business to Lord Sugar as he doesn't own 100%

Likewise for the Dragons, but don't confuse date / time programmes are recorded Vs date / time they eventually get aired .... [but I know what you mean]
