I was in the middle of getting my haircut when all pandemonium broke loose. I wouldn't have minded but I was appearing on Top of the Pops later that evening.

I don’t think there is anything wrong in questioning that there maybe a bigger picture here, I’m just saying we know how things can escalate on here really quickly (much to a lot of people’s amusement)

@GB mentioned early on that any thread divergence might change things.

Hints of other criminal activity might be terminal.

Indeed, in my attempt to be ‘hilarious’ I could possibly be perceived as stirring it, certainly not my intention. Apologies. I shall refrain from posting further on this thread unless it’s something relative and sensible.

Several Ambulances, Police Cordon and the Air Ambulance landed in Vale Park and appears to have transported possibly those involved to the RSCH ( still no helipad in operation).

Hope it’s not serious, any of our local NSC members aware of what happened?

I am bemused why you received such a veiled insult from GB. I took the liberty of looking at your recent past postings. Eventually.......I found what I think what is the cause.

I am 100% with you by the way.

I must have walked past there about 5 minutes before it all kicked off so thankfully missed it all.

Yeah it’s a difficult balance. No lines crossed so far though.

I would point out for those unfamiliar with the area that there seem to be too many barbers on the road for them all to make money. But you can also say the same thing for off licences, charity shops, distinctly average cafes, fast food takeaways and pound / discount shops.

People are bound to draw their own conclusions.

3 Turkish Barbers within 100 yards of each other in Bishop Auckland too. Business is clearly booming.

Strangely enough, my wife and I were driving down that road just a few days ago and, after noticing all the barbers, wondering in our naivety, how they all could make money.

Lots of passing trade, people popping in on spec, one of the few shops to accept cash, lots of youngsters in the area, somewhere for Uber, etc to pull up

There are 3 Turkish barbers in most villages these days. We have been invaded by them in no time at all, anyone would think there’s vice involved.

Are there really?

None in Ditchling when we picked up our eggs last week. Not sure there were three shops in total in the Devon villages we drove through to get to The Manor back in February. Don’t even think there’s a Turkish in Steyning from memory.

There are f***ing loads in Boundary Road though.

It is at least 50m away and round a corner actually.
I never said it wasn't round a corner. 😆
I also believed the incident to be by the skips outside where Keehan's Antiques used to be in Franklin Road. I have no evidence to support that, your Honour.
