Chris Sutton and chums stating that RDZ has told Bloom to meet his ambitions or he's off. 'He may as well hold a board up saying come and get me'.

Really? They are simply making stuff up.

Losing Mac Allister was 'the heart being ripped out of the team'. Really. He was OK, but....

These people are funking wankers.

I'm off to watch Hull beat Leeds.
That went well.

RDZ OUT!!!

I think that Chris Sutton and chums have taken a perfectly reasonable view of what RDZ said in his pre-match Liverpool press conference (someone on here mentioned you hadn't watched it, so maybe you wish to give it a view).

Anyway, he was asked specifically by a journalist "..can you guarantee that you will be here next season?"

RDZ replied "..first of all I want to speak with my club...I have not decided yet what is my future....anyway, I want to speak with Tony, with..my club...to understand their plan, then we take the decision together."

I think the "Sutton and chums" view is perfectly reasonable, based on that.
Really?

OK

RDZ OUTTTT!!!

Seems to be a foreign coach trait this airing the dirty laundry in public.
Can't he just keep quiet and let it all happen behind closed doors ?
Could he end up as Poyet 2 ?
I think Tony will only put up with so much and making all this public could be a breach of contract.
Getting irritating.

Who is making it public? Journalists, pundits and the internet. All RDZ has done is answer questions.
most of the speculation is from ‘fans’.

I’m relaxed either way about who our manager is next season.

But it’d be funny (and good on the football side) to see RDZ still in charge and in a good place with the club … vis-à-vis the posters on nsc jumping the gun and hating RDZ in recent weeks.

That’s just how I feel. Many people are getting angry with what they think is happening rather than what is actually happening. Life is too short.

Fabrizio Romano has now poked his nose in.......plus he has all the details of RDZ contract.....Not something BHA would release.

Interesting that the compensation level for Potter was £20m... but seemingly the club have agreed to a significantly lower figure for RDZ,... not a realistic scenario in my view.

Those details were first reported by an Italian journalist back in February 2023 - it isn't anything new.
This. Romano is a copy / paste tap in merchant.

Anyway, good that we’ve got another De Zerbi thread on the go. There weren’t nearly enough.

Yep. It’s becoming a self fulfilling prophecy. Nothing has really changed.

As I said on one of the many other threads, if a Brighton coach does well they will always be linked with “bigger” jobs, if they don’t then they’re on the chopping block. We’re not going to have our own Klopp / Wenger.

I think they are two different things - not sure that Potter had a release clause. Rather, he broke his contract, and effectively had to buy himself out (albeit Chelsea paid). The £20m also includes everyone that left at the same time.
With RDZ, it appears there’s a specific release clause. But who really knows?!

Don’t forget Potter signed that new long term deal which I imagine factored in. RDZ relatively unknown but I’d bet the new proposed contract that was discussed had a similar figure in

It’s mad and at the same time comical. The unbridled anger based on very little, whilst out of nowhere Potter’s perceived football genius has grown by the post.

Talksport said this morning that RDZ is Bayern Munich's top target now.
Not sure he would like to learn another language after slowly getting to grips with English.
