The end unfortunately were never seeing Lewis in the English team again once this game is over. Maybe if Potter get the England job

Gutted for Dunk. As others have said, not the only failing for that goal. And you do wonder about his mental attitude / big occasion thing too.

Or is it just a higher level? Mistakes unmercifully punished against decent international teams.

Dunk’s never had pace and like most PL CB’s has mistakes just like that or giving away unnecessary pens.

But for us against most PL opponents, LD is the glue that holds us together, great distribution and he repairs the damage from others such as where Webster dives in.

Dunk got Brazil and Belgium. Whilst Mings lucked out often with Malta, Scotland, Wales, Kazakstan, Iceland, Bulgaria, Romania, Andorra.

Dunk did recover so Lukaku's only otiion was the cross and Konsa completely lost his man. He should have been contesting the header at worst.

Was it the pace as well?
In both games - Rome and Wembley - if Dunk puts the ball out on our left then there’s no goal. Pace doesn’t come into it, he should have been in control of both situations.

Chilwell doesn't even bother tracking back and left Dunk right in it. Lazy, shite player.
Not only Chilwell (The actual worst defender on the pitch) but watching the replay, Rice just watches Tielemans sprint past him after the initial cross to Lukaku, no attempt to get back and cover Tielemans run

He was awful for the second goal. No interest in any incoming Belgium players.
Yes because you expect an international player to have some composure, keep hold of the ball and stay on the front foot. Not having to dash back to cover a mistake every time

There is that as well, undoubtedly. But we’re trying to pick a squad to win the Euros. If Dunk’s struggling against Roma and Belgium then France would ruin him.

Dunk must be relieved not to have his name on the back of his shirt this half.

Dunk has this really strange thing of being terrified of big strikers. He’s always been rubbish against Mitrovic, for example. That goal was like watching a year 7 shit himself being chased by a year 11 to get his ball back.

On this occasion he did try to put it out with a sliding tackle, he just didn’t get a good enough connection on it. He didn’t try anything fancy, he just didn’t want a physical tussle with Lukaku.
