His booking was hugely frustrating. It wasn't even a foul. The Fulham player collapsed on the floor once he realised that Baleba had got back past him. How that gets given as a foul and a yellow is incomprehensible, made worse by the ref then going very random on what he decided was a foul or not thus letting actual offences go and not going near his book for ages after.

Thought he had a good game yesterday, one of the few to come away with positives. The ridiculous yellow didn't effect his game. Made some great surging runs, one of the few actually willing to run with the ball, he's strong and clearly hungry to prove himself as well. He's still very raw but there is a huge amount of potential there.

Hooper was predictably shit.

- Gave Baleba a yellow for being strong
- Gave Estupinan a yellow for a 50/50 grappling contest which he eventually lost on the half way line
- refused to give a yellow card against Fulham despite a larger number of identical offences
- Eventually gave Fulham their only yellow card when De Cordova-Reid kicked the ball away ( the only time-wasting card)

Bloke's a ****.
Shouldn't be refereeing in the Prem.
But he does fit, the bald, short, oveweight, white profile, essential to referee at the top level.

We should stick with starting him in the Prem from here in. Unlikely we’ll qualify for Europe, so just develop him.

I thought love was only true in fairy tales
Meant for someone else but not for me
Love was out to get me
That's the way it seemed
Disappointment haunted all of my dreams

Then I saw him play, now he's a Baleba
Not a trace of doubt in my mind
I'm in love
He's a Baleba, I couldn't leave here if I tried

I thought love was more or less a giving thing
Seems the more I gave the less I got
What's the use in tryin'
All you get is pain?
When I needed sunshine, I got rain
Then I saw his play, now He's a Baleba
Not a trace of doubt in my mind
I'm in love
He's a Baleba, I couldn't leave here if I tried

Unless injured, can't really leave Pedro out of Europa matches. He's the top scorer!

With added smirking, and neediness (the only way to be one of the lads is to referee them).

Oh - I see. Two teams for before and after we're out of the Europa! We'll be sticking with the first starting 11 then, as the Europa Final is after the last PL game!
oh I see. you're choosing to double down to pretend you didn't make a dick of yourself.

wise choice.

No need to be rude!

Yes - I see I should have said 'second starting 11'.

Thanks.
Apologies for being terse.

I felt the post I responded to made a really valid point.
We're out of the domestic cups now and losing touch on the european places.

There is no need to rotate as much as we have been and It's an opportunity to focus on Europa league and use the last 11 prem league games to give extended runs to the players we need to be up to speed next season.

Certain key players should be rested before European games and immediately afterwards.

Didn’t like his performance for me .

Yes he broke up play first half quite well but 2nd half looked like was hiding . Didn’t want to receive the ball facing our goal so instead positioned himself badly so wouldn’t have to .
That’s why Lallana came on and thank god he did . He did balebas job more in his time on the pitch than baleba did .

Baleba best when driving . As the pivot player he is no where near ready for that

Midfield in summer needs addressing more
