šŸ˜³I donā€™t need a sanctimonious lecture on how I should be a more appreciative fan thanks- Iā€™ve been supporting Brighton for 50 years and have rarely rarely said anything negative about the team or individual - Iā€™m the least entitled person there is
- in fact the very opposite- it is usually me singing our praises when others have criticised our . manager or players/season/match performance

I didnt say anything negative about the team today either - My remark has been taken entirely out of context. If we had not played very well and created so many chances in the first half hour, I would have been more excited about a draw but we missed some very easy walk ins that should have had us up by several goals before half time.

Ive been in hospital most of the week and still very ill with a kidney and serious chest infection - it would have taken a win today to get me anywhere near feeling excited - it is what it is.
Emotions always run high and low. It's easily to post frustration, mental state of mind will influence that! Incorrect wiring in the brain and all that in some cases.
The frustration will always be picked on more than anything positive you post unfortunately. Your posts are very balanced in the most šŸ«”
What a lovely world we would have if we also agreed with each other hey.
It's a game of football, we dust ourselves down and go on again.
Your health is no1, take rest, get yourself better.
We all love the Albion, we just express it differently. šŸ‘

Never attack a man when his down. You never know one's state of mind.

If I was Everton, Iā€™d be thoroughly disgruntled with the horrible anti football they play. Theyā€™ve spent way beyond their means (hence why theyā€™ve correctly been punished) yet still play that way. I would hate to see my team park the bus, hoof the ball forward, constantly foul and rely on set pieces to score.

Itā€™s also interesting that Dyche thinks so little of his own clubā€™s fans that he never wants to shoot towards them in the second half.

Thought we stepped it up when WBG got sent off, it's like they were down to 10 men.

Roller coaster of a game. At HT I thought we'd come out and batter them as we'd had 10 chances to 0 and over 70% possession. Bringing on 3 players at once, all just back from injuries I thought broke our rhythm up. None of the subs played as well as those subbed off imo and a few misplaced passes and slow tackles by the subs didn't help at all.

Happy with the draw in the end after going 1-0 and probably felt like a loss to them in the end. Good.šŸ˜

Yes. I find it very odd that Everton fans were desperate to be shot of Allardyce because of the execrable football he served up, but seem not to be bothered by the thin gruel Dyche gives 'em. Perhaps their standards have slipped as their League position has.....

Ferguson looks way off at the moment. Heā€™s not battling for the ball or moving into positions to receive the ball the way he did so effectively last season. He just seems to have completely lost his confidence. Hopefully itā€™ll just take time and for the ball to break to him to slot one away.

Poor bloke. Evan gets no service, the ball is too slow getting in the box, he makes run after run and he looks up and the ball is back to Dunk. Canā€™t remember the last time he got a decent cross.
I totally disagree.

We put in plenty of good crosses, from Gross particulary, as evidenced by recent goals for Dunk, Welbeck, Joao Pedro, Hinshelwood and Adingra. I donā€™t think Ferguson is making very good runs and I also question his hunger. The difference between him and Joao Pedro for example when it comes to desire to get on the end of crosses is huge.

I could go on for ages about how gross Sean Dyche and his team of timewasting, anti-football thugs are. We shouldā€™ve won that 3 or 4 of course. But to get a stoppage time equaliser with 10 men (debatable red for me too), feels really good. Funny old game football! Up the Albion.

Could you imagine watching that Everton shite week in week out. Burnley in a different colour shirt. In the end their time wasting cost them 2 points.

How many times does Dyche need to be out of his technical area before the officials at least have a word. Thought he was playing left back for some parts of the second half.
Then, which manager gets bookedā€¦.!

I tend to agree with much of this. I was at the game today ( as opposed to the armchair and unwell ( again) critics) and Ferguson never stopped running in that first half, yet got very very little service. It was a hopeless task for him. I'm not sure that playing him and Welbeck ( who had a superb game) together work.

Overall on the game, we rarely created clear cut chances against a boring, but very disciplined side.

The goal by Dunk was just fantastic and lifted my disappointment totally. Anyone who felt flat after that really needs to actually go to the games more often rather than criticise from their laptop.

We were very good first half overall - second half fairly average. Itā€™s always good to analyse the performance rather than the scoreline. As someone else said, a bad point before the match, but given how it went, it was a decent point and a great moment to equalise in stoppage time and at least let football win a little bit in the end - not completely, as the one football team on the pitch drew.

Last week on MOTD, Shearer said heā€™d love to have played in our side,ā€ you just know the balls gonna be crossed in early for you to get on the end ofā€.

Only seen it once but a still always looks worse. There will always be a follow through in a tackle - itā€™s a soft red thatā€™s given sometimes and sometimes not for meā€¦

Weā€™ll have to agree to disagree. I see it that Evan makes the runs to leave Dunk, Welbeck, etc space to attack the ball on corners. Not sure how many but in the first half DC-L made at least 3 near post headed clearances from Gross corners, that presumably were intended for someone in the huddle. When it did eventually reach the huddle the Everton defenders were so tight that our headers plopped harmlessly to Pickford.

Getting back to EF ā€¦ā€¦ we need to change our style of play if he is to come good. Clearly he is no Pedro but he knows how to score.
