In my computer
for all the anti VAR talk, and much as i’d like to see it gone, the fact that the ref initially gave a yellow for that makes me reconsider

(*though there is an argument to be made that they avoid the more severe consequences on first viewing as they expect VAR to bail them out if it was that bad)

Its a good point, question being would it have been red if the ref knew he didn't have someone to bail out his wishy washy yellow... Quite frankly it should have been red to start with....Gutless decision...makes me really angry....

It was a thigh breaker.

This time it didn’t break his thigh but any lower and that’s smashing his knee to bits in a ‘16 months out’ type of way.
I thought that too. Mitoma was lucky it hit him on the muscle of the thigh.

The Sheffield player was lucky it wasn't Igor's thigh. Couldn't shattered his foot!

I’ve finally got round to buying a Brighton shirt and fancied the green and black for a while. Bit the bullet and paid 50 quid and 15 for delivery here in Spain. Then I am informed that I have to pay €18.99 import tax so wobbled a bit but went ahead. Then the Courier said they couldn’t deliver it and left it in a shop 50 metres from my door. By this time I am well chuntering and swear I will never get anything from the UK again.

Anyway, I wore it this afternoon and all is well in the world. Money well spent!
Somehow always read that as javaseagull.
Not javea....

Can you wear it every game please?

Roberto De Zerbi to BBC Match of the Day:

"I'm delighted for the performance. It wasn't a real, real game because we played 75 minutes with the one player more. We are sorry for it because we would like to win 11 v 11."

Was the decision correct?

"It's not our business, our business is to score and to play well and to be correct."

"I've not seen yet the situation, I can't say anything. It can happen because in the game at the Amex we finished the game with one player less. I know very well what it is like playing with a player less."

"Anyway I don't want to speak of the red card because I don't believe, I don't agree with that."

"We played with the right mentality, especially in the second half. We didn't concede counter-attacks. Sometimes you can lose if you are playing one player more. Football is strange, you can open the game when you think the game is closed."

"We are happy for [Simon] Adingra and [Kaoru] Mitoma. We missed them both a lot. We played without natural wingers. And so I am very happy when all my players are available."

Danny Welbeck to BBC Match of the Day, on Mason Holgate's red card:

"He's obviously won the ball but he's followed through."

"It was one of those challenges where I did think it was a red card straight away."

"The ref didn't award the red card from the off, but I think the correct decision got made in the end."
