I’ve not seen anyone saying that, but it’s surely fair to point out that while he has a couple of trophies (I believe a cup in Italy and a super cup win with Shaktar) he doesn’t yet have a trophy cabinet that suggests he can pull teams into shape and turn them into title winners.

When the “elite” clubs look for a manager, they tend to want a sure thing. The guys they pick usually have a proven track record of delivering success. For me DiZerbiBall hasn’t fully evolved yet.

He’s absolutely onto something, we’re playing fantastically under him, but I think all of us can see there’s more to do. For RDZ to leave for any club that would give him less than two full seasons could potentially set him back.

I absolutely expect RDZ to move on at some point fairly soon, but here he’s got the perfect environment to hone his skills before he does.

I genuinely believe he’s undercooked for a top job right now. In a couple of seasons I suspect not, but a move to any “elite” team now (with the possible exception of Liverpool, who seem fairly patient/sane) I fear would end badly, and I want him to do well.

Your last sentence I don’t get myself once a player/manager leaves the Albion I really couldn’t care less about them. For us supporting our club is a way of life for them it’s a career path.
The Dunks and Pascal’s of this world are a rare breed in modern football. Both players you could see were hurting after Spuds, others not so much.

There’s no right or wrong way of feeling about this stuff. Just different personalities having different perspectives.

I want Ali Mac to do well at Liverpool, I want Caicedo to be vilified by the Chelsea fans and then go to a decent club and prove them absolutely wrong.

Unless RDZ leaves in a manner that makes him look like a right dick, I’m going to want him to go on and do well for himself.

All of this with the obvious caveat of none of the above doing well against the Albion. Ever. Regardless of how great they were for us.

Ironically- winning the UEL would pretty much guarantee that he does leave The offers would be huge and legion.

Increasingly looking like the Barcelona might be true. Would be hard to begrudge anyone that move. Also it would be in the summer so time for us to find a replacement and them have a preseason. Unlike what Potter did.

i actually don’t care anymore. there’s nothing we can do at any level to keep anyone, whether they move for money or prestige, whether it’s our main man or just a back room staff member. what’s annoying is how we barely get a year out of any of these people. zero chance of us getting any success ever if the foundations have to be ripped out every twelve months or so. that never seems to happen to other clubs.

get it over with, let RDZ go in the summer and get Knutsen in, or Edwards if luton go down

Yes it's looking like a formality now, at least 1 big club is going to come in for him I reckon. On with the next one....

Although is there actually a perfect fit out there yet, I'm not so sure? The European clubs won't pay the release clause. Liverpool wont risk it.

Chelsea or castle are the ones that worry me a bit, either of those would be really annoying.

It's frustrating that RDZs reps are out there whoring him around.
