I was once told many years ago by a wise man " If the man across the road offers you a penny more for the same job, take it."
That's stuck with me as there is no loyalty in the workplace anymore.
Us peasants have been moving for better jobs since the upheaval of the Black Death set us free from serfdom.

I'm struggling to understand why Ashworth would want to leave Newcastle for Man Utd. I know that they are historically the biggest name, but aren't Newcastle supposed to surpass Man City in this decade? Aren't their owners the richest people in the world with a plan to build a no expense spared army of super footballers to smash all in front of them? Aren't they going to be bigger than Man Utd? Is that not happening any more? Was their long term plan really just to replace Steve Bruce with Eddie Howe? If that's the case, there's going to be a lot of disappointed Dr Faustus's in the North East.
Maybe it's the chopping people up thing?

Fully agree in that it is indeed annoying. But we must not be hypocritical as I am sure Boca and Copenhagen are saying exactly the same about us! We have to accept where we are in the football chain, but we might yet make top 4 at some stage and then it could all change in our favour. In addition, as others have rightly pointed out, the club will always be looking to and planning for a successor like Potter to RDZ!
Why would Copenhagen be saying the same about us? Have we signed Roony Bardghji? Awesome!

Brighton factually.....
If Chelsea are after him, he's over rated
Chelsea are just doing what Chelsea do, see what everyone else is doing or raving about, and then stamp their feet, wave their arms in the air screaming
"I want that"
"Now"

Vile club, that lacks the to ability to build anything with patience and careful planning.

Even the wealthiest of wealthy people and companies know planning, patience and hard work bring results.

Only the Chavist new money, want, want, want can't see that, money cannot buy you class and why Chelsea will forever be a chav club, run by chav owners.

A genuinely dysfunctional club, completely lacking in the courage of their convictions, they have the players, the personnel and facilities to build for success but no patience and no understanding that throwing money around like an oligarch is no guarantee of success. Never liked Chelsea historically but absolutely despise these clowns and their entitled fans now. Everything wrong with football.

I hope Sam is the first from the Albion to say to them "No thanks I am too good for you, I am going repay the Albion for the faith they showed in me and stay a bit longer, therefore waiting for a proper club to move to like Liverpool". Sadly we all know how life and football work. If they want him they'll chuck a big wedge of notes in front of him and he'll be off to ruin a promising career...he will be rich though I guess.

I find it strange that these so called top clubs think the way to succeed is to take staff from a mid table side/maybe top ten if we are lucky occasionally. I could understand if we were comfortably sitting in the champions league spots.

I would make the following points:

1. There is a food chain. You may move up and down it but you'll be in it somewhere, taking from those below and giving to those above.
2. The same few clubs always remain at the top of that food chain (barring intervention from a nation state - see Man City / PSG).
3. If you are a club in the second quartile of the Prem then good luck, you'll need it. Everton, Aston Villa, Newcastle, West Ham have not won a domestic trophy between them in almost 28 years, so a collective 0 for 83 in trophies.

Of course, you're right. We have replacements either in or out of the club lined up for these situations.

But it doesn't mean it's not a blow. Not least because we can't always get the replacement we want if they're not at the club.

But Ashworth hasn't agreed to go to Man Utd yet, and so the chain of events hasn't started and is far from certain to.

And I'm guessing that Bloom has put something in his contract, which means that Man U will soon find out that this would be the most expensive Jewell purchase since Beyonce's engagement ring

Listen stato I get where your coming from but newcastle may be slightly ahead of us in the football leauge, but if a team like Manchester City make a serious offer for Isak, he will most likely leave. Remember football now is all about money, if you was a footballer and was offered a great offer by man city wouldn't you take it?
